Eligibilty of Post Graduate Admission, 2018

→ Passed 3-year B.Sc./ B.A .Hons. in regular mode in respective subjects from UGC recognized University.

→ For Electronic Science , graduates with Hons. in Physics may also apply. A candidate intending to apply both for Physics and Electronic Science must submit separate application forms.

→ No candidates would be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 2 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular course of study after passing the last qualifying examination, the year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 2 years of passing the last qualifying examination. PNC Candidates are not allowed to apply.

→ The merit list will be based on marks in the relevant subject, except for microbiology where marks in the admission test will also be taken into account for 40% reserved seats ( All Universities ) .

→ Students seeking admission to the Postgraduate degree classes should take note of the following:

→ The last date for the submission of the admission forms should be rigidly maintained.

→ Merit list will be published on time and this will be followed by counseling by different departments. The dates of counseling should be strictly maintained .Any change of date will be notified on the college website.

→ Students must produce all relevant original documents (including certificates from competent authority for reserved category) for verification at the time of counseling

→ The students selected after counseling must take admission within 48 hours paying requisite fees via the payment gateway provided on the admission link. If any deserving candidate’s name is inadvertently left out from the list, he or she should immediately contact the Admission committee for rectification before the counseling.

→ In respect of admission the college authority reserves the right to make final decision without being answerable to any outside person, agency etc.

→ On the date of admission all the original documents should be produced.

ALL ADMISSION ARE PROVISIONAL

→Students coming from other universities / other states or outside India, if admitted, must produce a Migration Certificate within One Month from the date of Admission.

→ The students from Bangladesh (who fulfill the criteria) may be admitted provided they obtain Indian Citizenship Certificate or produce students’ visa issued by appropriate authority. Proper evidence should be furnished during the time of admission.

→The Principal has the authority to reject any application for admission, without showing reasons, in the interest of the college.

→ Policy for reservation of seats earmarked for graduates from West Bengal State University and that for graduates from other Universities and other norms of admission as per Govt.rules and University guidelines. The admission of the S.C./S.T./O.B.C-A / O.B.C-B /Physically Challenged candidates is regulated by Government norms. If ST Candidates are not available the seats will be converted to SC.

→These candidates should furnish attested copies of S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C. certificate, issued by appropriate authority as per the latest Government Order. Physically Challenged Candidates must attach attested copies of relevant documents from the competent authority.
