Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial College Was Established In The Year 2012 With A Mission To Impart Quality Education In Bachelor Of Education And Relevant Teacher Training Courses By DHANIAKHALI DEPRESSED CLASSES’ LEAGUE Society Which Is Registered Under The West Bengal Societies Registration Act No. XXVI Of 1961. The Society Was Founded By Several Eminent Personalities To Provide General Education To Enlighten The Young Mind And Help The New Generations To Go Ahead And Reach Greater Height. To Keep A Pace With The Requirement Of Trained Teachers, The Institute Aiming At Building Greater Confidence Among The Students, Established This Institute. The Constantly Changing Pattern Of Educational Aims, Methods And Demand Has Led The Society To Keep The Institute In The Vanguard Of Progress. Thecollegeis Affiliated to The University of Burdwan And The West Bengal Board of Primary Education, And Recognized By N.C.T.E., New Delhi.The College Is Situated In Rural Area And Facilitating Many Aspirants From Far And Near Who Wants To Take Up Teaching As Their Profession.The Courses Like B.ED And D.EL.ED That It Conducts Within Its Premises Is A Step Towards Creating Experts And Professionals That Meet Challenges Off The Contemporary Educational Scenario.

Since Its Inceptionfrom 2012 Onwards The Institution Is Disseminating, Knowledge Skill And Understanding About Teacher Training Both At Secondary And Primary Level. It Has Also Become The Study Centrefor B.Ed. Course Of Netajisubhas Open University (N.S.O.U.), Study Centre For Bridge Course, D.El.Ed. (ODL) Under W.B.B.P.E. For In-Service Teachers. Till Date The College Is Rendering Its Service To Uplift The Quality Of Teacher Training Following The Recommendations Of RTE-2009.
