10+2 with minimum 45% marks in any discipline.

SELECTION PROCESS

Admissions are purely on the basis of merit and applicants have to undergo JET ( JIMS Entrance Test ) that comprises of three phase system of screening :

• Personal Interview

Lecture Hall

We believe that teaching is not just loading the students with lectures and lessons.The pedagogy, therefore, comprises a balanced mix of theory and practice.

Today, the world is moving on the Information Super Highway and management of business is inconceivable without the use of computers.Every progressive business the world over is ,consequently, IT enabled.With this emphasis, all the computer labs at JIMS are equipped with Pentium based Networking System running on Windows platform.To facilitate research and development work, computer labs with Core i3 2nd Generation 2120 with 18.5" TFT’s monitor have been installed with latest software and are linked to High-Speed Internet Connectivity round-the-clock.

Library

A rich well stocked library with books covering management, media, information technology, design, hospitality subjects provides the right ambience for students to study and to improve their knowledge base. The library provides the latest edition of books of different authors and journals/magazines for all management subjects. It has computerized issue and receipt facility and internet link to other prominent library systems.
In addition, reference books and newspapers are also available for students to scan the environment and to improve their general awareness.

Mass Comm Studio

The Mass Communication department of JIMS has two fully equipped studios : one for Radio and other for Audio-visuals – Television and Cinema. The studio has modern facilities like an Audio Lab with latest hi-tech equipment and a state of the art Video Lab with high precision cameras for indoor and outdoor shooting and dark room for development of photographs. Editing machines using latest digital technology are installed to provide practical training to the students in the field of Television and Cinema. The radio studio and recording equipments with music mixing facility provides full concept of programme visualization to broadcast.

Training Restaurant

In the training restaurant of the Hotel Management Department the students are taught different types of Food & Beverages Services along with Bar Tending activities like serving Drinks, creating Mocktails atc. The students organize various theme parties in a restaurant like environment, giving them a close feel of the actual work that they do in the industry.

Training Kitchen / Production Lab

The students are made to learn basics of cooking as they start their course which goes up to preparing multi cuisine menus; the kitchen is equipped with all modern equipments and facilities. The practical curriculum includes basic training, bulk cooking and advance cooking.

Interior Design Lab

One of the most sought after courses , the Interior Design program of JIMS hasa well equipped design studio is for students to get the exposure of technical drawing also known as drafting along with the standards and conventions for layout plans. Working on these drafting tables helps the student to get accurate line thickness, text size, symbols, view projections, descriptive geometry, dimensioning and notation.
