• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
  
  First Year Courses:
  
  The First year Program starts with an Induction Program to orient the students towards:
  
  • Self-driven hard work
  • Understanding and working with teams
  • Coping with the rigour and demands of the program
  
  Courses in the first year are compulsory for all. The students are given a strong knowledge base in, both, management subjects and supporting subjects from social sciences and quantitative techniques, honing them towards career related specializations in the second year. These courses are designed to equip the students with the essential skills and concepts in various areas of management.
  
  Second Year Courses:
  
  In the Second Year, the student will be required to take up a few core courses (mandatory) and also choose their electives to specialize in. Appropriate counselling will be given to the students to facilitate them to take up the specialization which is best suited for them. The electives offered are: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, Information Systems and General Management.
• Management Development Programmes (MDP)
  
  Executive education and Management development Programs are very much integral to the functioning of ASB. ASB strives to organize Executive Education and Management development Programs in consonance with the priorities of the institute and the talents available
  
  ASB offers MDPs to business and other institutions, both customized programmes and open programmes. Several Technopark companies have sent many of their fast-track managers to these programmes, which typically include modules in Leadership, Finance, Marketing, Strategy and Innovation, customized according to the firm’s needs. The open programmes are not specific to a company but are open to executives from any company.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for the ASB-PGDM program are as follows:

• Candidates must have at least a 3-year University degree in any discipline from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in main subjects (Part III).
• Candidate must have secured a minimum of
  
  • 50 percentile for CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA; or
  • 400 marks for MAT; or
  • 500 for GMAT.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Those candidates who are eligible to apply to our PGDM programme will be have to go through the ASB Admission Process comprising of three rounds: Extempore, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. A 3-member faculty panel will evaluate all candidates in all the three rounds based on specific criteria and scoring system. The date of the process will be informed well in advance.

Applicants are evaluated based on past academic performance, extra-curricular activities, work experience (if any), Entrance exam scores (CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/ATMA) and performance in the admission process.

CISCO SMART campus

The ASB campus is one of the first campuses to be enabled by CISCO's Smart and Connect Campus system. A fully integrated Building management System(IBMS) with network supported by CISCO and implemented by UST Global with Wi-Fi, CCTV, Public address, and Access Systems for all rooms make ASB campus one of the most hi-tech campuses in the country and the first SMART Building campus. All classrooms and Seminar hall are equipped with state of the art Audio-visual equipment and video conferencing facilities. All class rooms are installed with the Polevault sytem from Seimens enabling data presentation and audio reinforcement through single control. It is possible to hold virtual class room sessions from theses rooms. These rooms are also acoustically treated to reduce noise level to 45 db.
