  • Library - The College Library is within Biplabi Rashbehari Basu Bhaban and is enriched with sufficient number of text and reference books, local and National Journals and Newspaper etc. The College Library is computerised and offers circulation, reference and information service to the students and faculty members. The Library has two reading rooms with internet facility for students and teachers respectively.
  • Hostel - One boys’ hostel for OBC students is located within the College premises. The hostel is furnished and provided with 80 seats. Selection will be made on the basis of distance of home from the College.
  • N.S.S. - N.S.S. volunteers are actively invoved in both regular activities as well as special camping programmes. Programme Officers are sincere in mobilizing the volunteers towards outreach programmes which can benefit the society at length. Some programmes like blood donation camp, pulse polio drive, health check-up camp, environmental awareness programme, AIDS conciousness etc. are organized in an effective way year after year. Conduction of socio-economic survey in the adopted village is another aspect of N.S.S. activities undertaken by the volunteers.
  • Students’ Union - Dr. Bhupendra Nath Dutta Smriti Mahavidyalaya Students’ Union is the general body of the students’ community of the Collage. The class representatives and office bearers are elected by the students in every year. Students’ Union is involved in organizing cultural activities, publishing College and wall magazine and discharging other responsibility for the welfare of the students.
In the decade of 1930 during the freedom movement of the country, a new Socio-educational movement was also started along with progressive peasant movement in the district of Burdwan. Hatgobindapur is a traditional rural area of the said movement of Burdwan District. Dr. Jnananjan Guha Neogi took the initiative to organize famous ‘Lantern Lectures’ to popularize Socio-educational movement along with Dr. Bhupendra Nath Dutta by establishing Liabrary, Literacy Centre etc.

The local people of the area took the initiative to establish a centre of higher learning after the name of Dr. Bhupendra Nath Dutta to commemorate his endevours for the cause of development of this locality. Late Dr. Ram Narayan Dutta, a leading medical practitioner, Sri Ganesh Choudhury, a dedicated social worker of the village Hatgobindapur and many other personalities took this decision through a mass convention in 1982. Infact Sri Ganesh Choudhury is the main architect of the college. He has extende and still extends his whole hearted co-operation for the cause of development of the College.

Later on a confirmed decision was taken in a meeting held on 21-08-1995 with Dr. Ram Narayan Dutta on the chair. An organizing managing committee was constituted and a final proposal was sent to the Government of West Bengal and the University of Burdwan for approval of the College.
