      • General : 60% in aggregate + 60% in Accountancy / Mathematics or in any related subject (see below). + Minimum 30% marks in Mathematics at the Secondary (Class X) level.
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Accountancy / Mathematics or in any related subject (see below).
   2. Honours in Marketing
      • General : 60% in aggregate + 55% in Accountancy or Mathematics or in any related subject (see below).
      • SC/ST : 40% in Accountancy or in any related subject (see below).
   3. General Course(Pass)
      • General : Only pass in H.S. Course / 10+2 Level.
      • SC/ST : Only pass in H.S. Course / 10+2 Level.
2. B.A. / B.Sc. (Honours)
   1. Geography (Honours)
      • General : 55% in aggregate + 60% in Geography.
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Geography.
   2. English (Honours)
      • General : 55% in aggregate + 60% in English.
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate + 40% in English.
   3. Political Science (Honours)
      • General : 50% in aggregate + 45% in Political Science.
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Political Science.
   4. Economics (Honours)
      • General : 50% in aggregate + 45% in Economics / any related subject (see below).
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Economics / any related subject (see below).
   5. History (Honours)
      • General : 50% in aggregate + 45% in History.
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in History.
   6. Education (Honours)
      • General : 50% in aggregate + 45% in Education / any related subject (see below).
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Education / any related subject (see below).
   7. Bengali (Honours)
      • General : 50% in aggregate + 45% in Bengali.
      • SC/ST : 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Bengali.

The word 'Subject' or 'related subject' shall mean :

• For B.Com. Honours in Accounting & Finance or in Marketing : Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economies, Statistics, Bussiness Studies, Office Practice and Secretarial, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy & Principal of Management.
• For Economics Honours : A candidate shall be allowed to take up Honours in Economics if he/she has passed in Mathematics at the H.S Examination (10+2) conducted by West Bengal Council of H.S. Education or its equivalent examination in Mathematics / Business Mathematics.(Students who have passed Business Economics including Business Mathematics in H.S (10+2) level from West Bengal Council of H.S. Education are not eligible for admission in the Honours Course in Economics.)
• For Education Honours : The subject Psychology/Philosophy/Mathematics /Sociology/ Economics / Political Science/ History be treated as related subject.
