Regarding Attendence of 1st Semester & 2nd Semester Students, 2018
Students of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com should note that in each paper, 10 marks have been earmarked for attendance under the new CBCS Rule as introduced by the University of Calcutta. Students who attend 60% or more but less than 75% of the total number of lectures delivered in a paper will score 6 marks in that paper, those attending 75% or more but less than 90% will score 8 marks and a student attending 90% and above in a paper will score full 10 marks in that paper. Students attending less than 60% of the total number of lecturers delivered in the subject will not be awarded any mark out of 10 marks in that subject. Moreover, if the overall attendance of any student becomes less than 60%, he or she will be disqualified for appearing in the entire end semester examination to be conducted by the University.
So, students of Semester-I and Semester III are hereby advised to attend classes regularly to become eligible to appear in the end semester examination which is expected to be held towards the the end of December,2018.
