B.Tech. Admission:

• There are five departments in B.Tech :- Computer Science & Engineering(CSE), Mechanical Engineering(ME), Information Technology(IT), Electronics & Commmunication Engineering(ECE), Electrical Engineering(EE).
• Admission is taken through WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination).
• Intake is 60 in each department(Reserved Seats SC-22% ST-6% PC-3%).
• One additional seat is reserved for defence cota in EE.
• Diploma holders can take admission through WB-JELET(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination of Lateral Entry) in BTECH 2nd year.

M.Tech. Admission:

• There are three departments in M.Tech :- Computer Science & Engineering(CSE), Production Engineering(PE), Electronics & Commmunication Engineering(ECE).
• Intake is 18(GATE:13, NON-GATE:5). In each catagory reserved Seats -> SC-22% ST-6% PC-3%.
• Entire admission process is conducted centrally by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), SaltLake. One can go through the website of WBUT from time to time for further details.

MCA Admission:

• Admission is taken through JECA (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam MCA).
• Intake 40 (Reserved Seats SC-22% ST-6% PD-3%).
• Candidate must acquire 1st class in BSC.

Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC), in Kalyani, West Bengal, India offers undergraduate (B.Tech.) and postgraduate (M.Tech., M.C.A.) engineering degree courses under West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).
