The Haji Mofijuddin Kobiraj Memorial Foundation has been providing commendable service in the field of education since 2002. Since, then, Md. Abdul Malek, the Secretary of the organisation came forward to spread education in Uttar Dinajpur on request from Dr. Srikumar Mukherjee, local MLA & Hon'ble Minister of Civil Defence, Govt. of West Bengal. As it becomes essential to have B.Ed degree to become a good teacher of a school, the concept of establishing of a B.Ed College came in to mind. This will also slave partially the unemployment problem of educated youth. Institution has come to reality with the help & co-operation of The Hon'ble Minister Dr. Srikumar Mukherjee and Active support of Dr. Swapna Mukherjee, Principal of Dr. Meghnad Saha College. We are glad to announce that College has got affiliation from the University of Gour Banga with the concurrence of the Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
Uttar Dinajpur is identified as the educationally backward district of North Bengal. There are five degree colleges but having only one B.Ed college, situated at Kamojora, Raiganj which is 35 k.m away from Itahar 100 k.m away from Islampur. Hence to promote and spread education and to prepare quality teachers in the area, this Institution is established.
