Admission to B.A. & B.Sc. General 2015-2016
A candidate who has passed the H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc. General Degree Course of Study in , provided she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
For B.A. / B.Sc. General course of study a student is required to choose 3 elective subjects from the following combinations, taking not more than one subject from one group.
For B.A. General Students cannot opt for two (2) science elective subjects.
Science Subject : Economics; Botany; Psychology; Chemistry; Geography; Statistics; Film Studies; Mathematics.
Elective Subject Combinations not permitted are :
a) Sanskrit with Botany
b) Philosophy with Botany

Documents required at time of admission
- Original Mark-Sheet (Not Laminated) of Higher Secondary Level (10+2).
- Original Admit Card and Mark Sheet of Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination.
- Original SC / ST / OBC Certificate in the name of the candidate, in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates
- Original Migration Certificate in case of migrating students.
- Attested photocopy of Admit Card of Madhyamik or Equivalent for age verification.
- Attested photocopy (both side) of Mark-Sheet of Higher Secondary level (10+2).
- Attested photocopy of SC / ST / OBC Certificate in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates.
- Attested photocopy of Migration Certificate in case of migrating students.
- One Stamp size Photograph (to be pasted in Application Form).
Candidates from Open School (Rabindra Mukta & National Open School) will have to take admission in General Course only. Candidates of 2013 may also apply if they did not take admission anywhere in 2013.
Candidates from Boards other than WBCHSE, CBSE & ISC may contact the College office after publication of results.
Only candidates of 2015, may apply for admission. Candidates of 2014 may apply for admission if they did not take admission anywhere in 2014.
Subject Criteria for Admission to B.A. (Major) - 2015-2016
Subject : Tourism & Travel Management (T.T.M.V.) – 2 Years (job-oriented) Degree Course under University of Calcutta.
A candidate who secures a minimum of 45% (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST community) marks in the aggregate at the H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission to the B.A. (Major) Degree Course of Study in Tourism & Travel Management, provided she has passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
For the purpose of determining eligibility to TTMV Course, aggregate shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.
Candidates taking up TTMV B.A. (Major) Degree Course shall study History and Sociology as Compulsory Elective Subjects. More than 80% of final year students of TTMV were got Tourism related jobs in different Government & Non-Government sectors. A Placement Cell is there in the College to conduct Campus Interview.

A candidate shall not be allowed to take up any subject as Elective if she has failed in the subject in the previous qualifying examination.College authority will not be responsible, in any way, for wrong combinations chosen by the students.
