CCTV installation at govt. schools :

As of now, all government schools have CCTV cameras only at the main gate and few other places.
Besides, a review will soon be done to look at the functioning of the existing CCTVs.

Here's what a senior official said :

"There could be some CCTVs that may not be working due to technical and repair issues," the source told. "The education minister has already given directions to concerned departments to work on the specifications of the CCTV cameras that will be required. Once that is finalised, we will move ahead with the plan," the source told in a recent HT report.
