Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) 2018 : Official notification released

The Commissionerate of School Education (CSE), Andhra Pradesh has declared the official notification for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) 2018 on the website, cse.ap.gov.in

The APTET 2018 exam will be held from January 17, 2018 to January 27, 2018 in online mode.
Also, the registrations for APTET will begin from December 18, 2017.

About the Exam :

  • The APTET 2018 will have two papers
  • Paper I and Paper II will be computer based tests comprising of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers
  • Candidates will be given 2 hours 30 minutes to attempt the same. The exam would be held in 2 sessions i.e. 9:30 am to 12 noon and 2:30 pm to 5 pm
  • There will be 2 papers for the TET. Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 1 to 5, Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 6 to 8. A person who intends to be a Teacher either for Classes 1 to 5 or for Classes 6 to 8 shall have to appear in both Papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Structure and content :

  • Paper I : The Paper I (for Classes I to V) will have 150 MCQ's and the duration of the exam would be 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Paper II : Paper II (for classes VI to VIII) will also have 150 MCQ's and the total duration of this paper would be 2 hours 30 minutes.

Exam centers :

The APTET 2017 shall be conducted 'ONLINE' in the 13 districts. Candidates may give the preferential order of the centers.

Medium of question paper :

The question paper shall be bilingual i.e. English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all Languages except Sanskrit. For the candidates choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari Script).

Important dates :

  • Registration process : December 18 to January 1, 2018
  • Complaints pertaining to the application : December 19 to December 30
  • Online mock tests : January 1
  • Exam date : January 17 to January 27
  • Hall tickets : From January 9 onwards
  • Answer keys : January 29
  • Results : February 8
