CBSE UGC National Eligibility Test Registrations 2017 : Know 5 simple steps to apply online
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the official notification of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2017 exam.
According to schedule, the registration process will begin from tomorrow, August 11 at, cbsenet.nic.in
and the UGC NET will be conducted on November 5
Here's the steps :
Educational qualification :
All the candidates interested in applying need to obtain minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in master's degree from a recognized university / institute.
Candidates in their final year of Master's degree are also eligible to apply.

Application fee :
Rs 100 : For General category
Rs 500 : For OBC category
Rs 250 : For Other reserved categories
Selection process :
With a slight change in selection pattern, instead of the top 15% candidates, this year only top 6% candidates would be considered qualified in NET.

September 12 : Last date to apply
September 19 to September 25 : Correction in application
Last week of October : Admit cards

University Grants Commission (UGC)
is a statutory organisation established by the union government in 1956
. Its main objective is to provide recognition to the Indian universities and provide funds to such recognised universities and colleges.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
now conducts this exam on behalf of UGC for the post of Lecturer and for providing the JRF for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and in research.
