Indian Coast Guard Exam 2017 : Admit cards released

The Indian Coast Guard has released the admit cards for the Assistant Commandant 02/2018 Batch Exam 2017 on the official website, joinindiancoastguard.gov.in

The exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in January, 2018.

How to download admit card :

  • Go to the official website, joinindiancoastguard.gov.in
  • Click on 'For Printing E-Admit Card For Assistant Commandant 02/2018 Batch Will Be Available From 11 Dec 2017 To 24 Dec 2017 Till 1700 Hrs' link under 'Nwe Events' section
  • Enter your registration number and email id in the space given
  • Click on 'Get Details'
  • Admit cards will be displayed on the screen
  • Download your admit card
  • Take a print out for future use
Applicants to take a print-out of the e-admit card till December 24.

Selection procedure :

Short listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks in the qualifying exam and the qualifying cut off for a particular branch or centre may be increased more than 60% if more applications with higher percentage are received.

Preliminary exam :

Short listed candidates will be called for preliminary selection at given date and time which will consist of Mental Ability Test/Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP & DT). The aptitude tests will be in English only and will be of objective type.

During PP and DT the candidates are expected to speak and discuss in English. However, they are free to speak in Hindi if they wish to do so.

List of documents that candidates are required to bring at the exam entre :

  • 2 copies of computer generated pre-filled online e-admit card form with recent coloured passport size photo affixed (Not older than 3 months)
  • Original pass certificate and mark sheet of class 10 exam
  • Original pass certificate and mark sheet of class 12 exam
  • Original degree certificate with all semesters/years mark sheets of BE/B.Tech/Graduation with CPA/CGPA conversion for percentage of marks from university
  • Proof of identity such as passport, driving license, Adhaar Card, voter I card, college ID card or any other photo identity proof
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable) in original as per Government of India for OBC and State Government for SC and ST candidates (format available in www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in)
  • Character certificate (Should not be older than 6 months on the date called for PSB)
  • Current and valid Commercial Pilot License (issued and validated by DGCA) in original and flying log book for Asst Commandant CPL entry only.
