NIFT 2018 : Registration begins
The registration process for the
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam 2018 has started at
nift.ac.in . Interested candidates can apply for the exam latest by December 29.
Step to apply :

Log on to the official website, nift.ac.in

Under Admissions 2018 tab, click on 'Apply online'

Log in using your email id and date of birth in the space mentioned

Fill in all the required details in the prescribed format
-
Click on submit
-
Take print put for future reference.
Educational qualification :

Bachelor of Design :

Candidates interested in applying need to be intermediate (class 12) pass from a recognised state board or university.

Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (BFTech) :
-
Interested candidates need to be intermediate (class 12) pass from a recognised state board or university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Application fee :
For General/OBC (Non-Creamy) category : Rs 1,500
For SC/ ST/ PWD category : Rs 750
Reservation of seats :

SC : 15%
-
ST : 7.5%

OBC (non-creamy): 27%
-
Person With Disability (PWD) : 5%
Important dates :

Last date for online registration with late fee of Rs 5000 : 2nd January, 2018

Admit Card (Online only) : 9th January, 2018 (1 pm onwards)

NIFT written entrance exam for UG and PG courses : 21st January, 2018

Situation Test/Group Discussion/Interview : April-May 2018

Declaration of Final Result : End of May/June 2018

Counselling process : May/June 2018 onwards
Meanwhile, the institute has also declared a warning or advice for candidates :
"NIFT, and its employee or Examination Agency would never call any candidate for attending any coaching classes as NIFT does not recommend or endorse any coaching / training for Situation Test and GD/PI. Candidates are advised not to give any cognizance to such Telephone calls/SMS/Emails, etc. NIFT never shares the information of applicants such as Mobile Number, Email, Address, Result etc. with anyone. Results will be declared only at the official website of NIFT," read the official notice.
