The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2017 on the official website, which is
upsc.gov.in. The examination was held on June 18 at various test centres across the state.
The Preliminary exam is also known as
Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).

Note:

All the candidates who have cleared the preliminary examination will now have to apply online again in a new form (Detailed Application Form) provided to them.
Details of Detailed Application Form (DAF):

The DAF (Civil Services (Main)) will be available on the website of the commission from August 17 to August 31 till 6pm.

Further, the Civil Services (Main) (CSM) examination will be held on Saturday, October 28.
About Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT):

Civil Services Aptitude Test is the first phase and is objective in nature. It is followed by phase two which is a subjective test and the final test which comprises Interview before a panel. The CSAT exam will also serve as the preliminary exam for Indian Forest Service 2017 exam.
The CSE exam is conducted annually by the UPSC in 3 stages - preliminary, main and interview - to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
Scheme of Examination:

Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) comprised of two objective type papers. Each paper carried 200 marks and was of 2 hours duration.
According to reports, this year the paper was difficult and fewer questions were being asked from current affairs section.
