Common Entrance Test (ACET) 2018
for admission to various UG and PG courses
All students aspiring to take admission to various UG and PG courses offered by ADYP University are required to attempt the ACET. ACET is ADYPU Common Entrance Test. This is the mandatory entrance test for all prospective students from India who seek an admission to any undergraduate or postgraduate program at any school under ADYP University umbrella. Taking this test is the first-step to the admission procedure. The ACET is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and is conducted at designated test-centers in India. The ACET is program-specific. Students have to register for the test as soon as possible on the ADYPU website. Students have to select a nearby test-center, program of their choice, and pay registration fee of Rs. 2000/- (two thousand only) for the ACET (Entrance Test).

Please read the following important dates carefully and register accordingly. Don not wait till the last date of registration. Try to register as early as possible without delay to avoid network congestion which is caused a few days before the last date of registration.

  • All Students should register for the ACET on the website www.adypu.edu.in. This test is the first-step to admission procedure for ADYP University. Online registrations would commence on 27th November 2017 for all programs of ADYP University. The last date of ACET (Entrance Test) online registration for Postgraduate and Design UG students is 25th Jan 2018 and for Undergraduate students, it is 20th April 2018.
  • If a student wants to change their test-city they can do so on or before the dates given: For Postgraduate programs, the change in test-city can be made on or before 25th Jan 2018 and for Undergraduate program, the change in the test-city is possible on or before 20th April 2018. No request about change in city would be entertained after these dates. The change of the test center has to be intimated via email communication only.
  • Ensure that you fill in all updated and accurate information in the online registration form. Ensure that the spellings of your name match with those on your academic and other credentials. Upload your latest scanned color passport size photo for the online registration as it is mandatory for the ACET (Entrance Test) registration. (The photo should not be older than 6 months).
  • Students need to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2000/- for the registration process. If the student does not make payment for the registration, the registration would be considered as incomplete. The online payments would be accepted on or before the dates of registrations. Note: ACET fee is non-refundable.
  • Please note that the test score of ACET (Entrance Test) 2018 will be valid for the academic year of 2018-19 only. Admission to programs at ADYP University is based on the candidate's performance in ACET (Entrance Test) and subsequent qualifying tests like Studio Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview etc. Please check the information given under 'Program Eligibility' for more details.
  • All dispute between the candidate and ACET committee in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.
  • The ACET is mandatory for all ADYP University Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs offered by different schools under ADYP University. Please check the programs on www.adypu.edu.in/programs .

While all efforts will be made to ensure that the candidates get a test city as per their preferences, however, in some exceptional circumstances, a different test city in nearby area may be allotted. ACET committee reserves the right to change or allot a different city than the one requested by the candidate in the event of the unavailability of the requested city.
The duration of the ACET is 2 hours (120 minutes)

Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (All objective type questions with no negative marks)

Number of questions: 100 (of 1 mark each)

Exam Type: Computer Based Test (CBT).

Application fees Rs. 2000/-

Each question carries one mark. A correct answer will be awarded one mark; a wrong answer or unanswered questions will be awarded no marks.

There are various ACET (Entrance Test) versions for different Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. The major components of the ACET are General English, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Mathematics, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and Domain or Skill-specific questions.   • The Test Center Regulations:
    • Students are advised to reach the test centre minimum 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned in the e-hall ticket.
    • You have to register your name at the registration counter at the centre where your e-hall ticket will be authenticated.
    • It is recommended that you enter the examination hall at least 15 minutes before the start of the test. Please remember that you are not allowed to carry any material, printed or written, bits of papers or even any rough pages, at the test center. You are also not permitted to bring calculators, slide rules, clark tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculators, laptop or palmtop computers, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie sets, mobile phones, paging devices or any other object/device.
    • Once you begin your test, you will not be allowed to go outside the test hall for the entire duration of the test. If you leave the hall you will not be permitted to return, under any circumstances.
    • Smoking in the test hall is strictly prohibited. Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are also not allowed into the test hall.
    • We do not encourage family members and/or friends of the applicants to wait at the test centre. Please make arrangements to meet them elsewhere at the end of the test.
    • The test hall is monitored using web cameras and closed circuit TV cameras and any disruption / disturbance by an applicant is deemed as misconduct and can have dire consequences.
    • If we find an applicant using unfair means, or impersonating someone else, his or her application will be cancelled and he or she will be liable to be debarred from taking the entrance examination permanently or for a specified period, as decided by the concerned ADYPU authorities.
    • At the end of the test, applicants must sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator. The invigilator will also put his/her signature in the place provided in the e-hall ticket.
    • The online entrance test is easy and requires a working knowledge of computers and a basic ease of use of the mouse and keyboard. It is conducted in English and we expect our applicants to have a working knowledge of English. The test consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ type). In this, for each given question, the applicant must choose the right, or the closest, answer from among the choices given.
    • In any misconduct or violation of instruction or act causing disturbance to others and examination decorum will lead to expelling the candidate from examination.
    • Sample Question paper will be provided to the candidates who have successfully registered online for the ACET.
    • In case the student wants to change the exam center, they have to inform the admission team via email at least one week before.
  • Ensure this before the Test begins:
    • Ensure your computer is powered on and the keyboard and mouse are working properly. If you face a problem with the computer, please inform the examination invigilator immediately. Get comfortable with the computer before you begin writing the test.
    • All questions are multiple choice questions and you are required to select the correct answer from the given choices. Only one of the given responses is correct or the most appropriate. You need to click on the button next to the answer.
    • Please use the pages supplied to you at the Test Centre for rough work. No paper/s should be taken to the test hall for this purpose.
  • After you take the test:
    • The merit list will be displayed on the ADYPU official website after 5 working days from the date of the Entrance Test. The merit list would consist of only roll-numbers so students / test-takers are advised to keep their e-hall tickets safe till the merit list is out, the roll number is the application number of the candidate. Shortlisted candidates must attend the Counseling Session and an Interview 10 days after the merit list is displayed. The exact schedule for the counseling session will be informed separately, based on the performance in the written test. The students have to bring along with them the Statement of Purpose (SOP), certificates of extracurricular activities if any.
    • Please note that the shortlisted candidates for the design courses will have to attend an interview and a studio test 10 days after the merit list is displayed. The exact schedule for the interview and studio test will be informed separately, based on the performance in the written. The students need to carry their portfolio along with statement of Purpose (SOP).
