The prime objective of Common Entrance Examination (CEE) organized by Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI) is to conduct an entrance examination for students in the State and National level. Students of Sikh and Other Minority and Non-Minority in the State and National level may appear in the CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB examination. This examination will be conducted both for admission in the first year of 4 years B.Tech and B.Pharm courses.

How to Apply:
A candidate may apply for CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB, in 2 ways: a) Online, OR b) Offline.

ONLINE Registration for Application to CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB

  • - Step 1:
    Click on link: "Apply online" at www.ampai.in and register at AMPAI website by providing name and a valid e-mail id at the "New Online Registration" section. A unique password shall be mailed to the e-mail you have provided.
  • - Step 2: You need to re-visit www.ampai.in and go to the login page. This time you need to use the "Existing Users Login" section where you can enter your e-mail id and the password sent to you on email and proceed to fill and submit the on-line application form of CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB.

    This form can be saved online and the details can be edited later at multiple instances, but submitted only once. Submission needs to be completed before the due date. Once the online application form is submitted, this form is final and details in the said form cannot be altered or changed anymore. Students are requested to exercise caution or get in touch with AMPAI Helpline numbers when facing any difficulty. Candidate shall receive e-mail intimation once the application form for CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB has been successfully submitted.
  • - Step 3:
    When sure of the choices filled in, it should be locked by the candidate to confirm the application with Final Choices to be considered for counselling.
  • - Step 4:
    The candidate needs to save the online payment receipt generated after successful acceptance of the payment and preserve this document carefully in his/her possession. This receipt shall be required later at the time of counselling and admission.

    An SMS will be sent to the mobile number provided by each candidate after successful completion of the online registration process.

OFFLINE Registration for Application to CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB:

  • - Step 1:
    Candidates can download the Application Form from www.ampai.in. i.e the candidate needs to visit www.ampai.in and download a pdf copy of the Application form from the appropriate link.
  • - Step 2:
    The candidate needs to take a printout of the downloaded form, fill up the necessary fields
Application Fee of Rs. 200/- has to be paid by DD in favour of “Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes”or “AMPAI” payable at Kolkata.

Duly filled up Application Form along with Examination fee can be submitted either in person or by post to the following address:

An SMS will be sent to the mobile number provided by each candidate after receiving the Application Form.
Detailed information regarding admission to the concerned Colleges and allotment of seats therein shall be made available in due course. The Counselling date, documentation process and all other relevant information shall be uploaded on this page after conducting of CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB. Those interested are requested to check this section after 6/5/2018.

The Counselling process will be “Physical” in Kolkata. Venue and date would be announced later.The corresponding physical counselling is to be followed within 15 days of the declaration of the results and the merit list. The counselling fee is Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only).

In the counselling session, candidates have to produce:
  • original documents (i.e. marksheets of 10th& 12th standards, Date of Birth proof, Rank Card of CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB, domicile certificate from the appropriate authority.) If any candidate fails to produce the proper domicile certificate in the prescribed proformas then said candidate wil be considered as a non-minority candidate.
  • One set of attested copies of the above documents along with 4 copies of passport size photographs.
  • During Counselling, one seat will be allotted to each participating candidate as per his/her choice based on intense merit and availability of seat at that point of time.
  • A seat Allotment letter will be issued to each participating candidate.
  • Candidates will have the choice to provisionally book the aforesaid allotted seat at the counselling venue against a payment of a Demand Draft of Rs. 20,000/- in favour of “Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes” or “AMPAI”, payable at Kolkata.
Students with valid rank in CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB can get admission in the following institutes, subject to counselling norms and guidelines:

  • Narula Institute of Technology (NIT)- Agarpara. Kolkata
  • Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT)- Sodepur, Kolkata
  • Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology (GNIPST)- Sodepur, Kolkata
  • Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College (DSCSDEC)- Dumdum, Kolkata
As preference of admission shall be given to students from the Sikh minority, any seats left vacant thereafter may be filled by students from any other community, religion or caste based on merit list rank of CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB and eligibility criteria

To be eligible to appear in CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB and thereafter secure admission in the approved institutes based on position in the merit list, students have to fulfiull the following criteria:
  • Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Restriction: Engineering & Technology / Pharmacy Courses:
    Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31.12.2018. There is no upper age limit. Date of Birth as recorded in Class X Examination under any School/Secondary Education Board Certificate/Admit Card will only be considered.
  • Academic Requirements:
    • For Bachelor in Engineering & Technology:
      Candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognized Council/Board with:
      • Individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as Compulsury subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory & practical whereever applicable) in regular mode.
      • Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together as well as pass in English in the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 30% marks.
    • For Bachelor in Pharmacy Course:
      Candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognized Council/Board with:
      • Individual pass marks in Physics and Chemistry along with any one of Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as Compulsury subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory & practical whereever applicable) in regular mode.
      • Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together as well as pass in English in the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 30% marks.
Note: A candidate appearing in the qualifying examination ie '10+2' standard examination in 2017 may appear in the CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB but shall not be made eligible for allotment of seats for admission if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with required minimum standard of eligibility criteria as stated above.

CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB
Question Pattern:
Questions will be based on the syllabus for WBJEE - 2018 (details available at www.wbjeeb.in). In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type) with four options against each of the questions and the answer(s) to each of the questions has/have to be marked on the OMR Answer Sheet.

Questions will be of two categories, divided as per the following table:

Category 1:
  • Only one option is correct, correct response will yield one mark.
  • For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as incorrect response/answer.

Category 2:
  • Only one option is correct, correct response will yield two marks.
  • For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as incorrect response/answer.

Mode of Answering
Questions must be answered on specially designed machine readable answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet). ANSWERS ARE TO BE MARKED (BUBBLED) USING BLUE/BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY ON THE ‘OMR ANSWER SHEET.’

N.B. : It is to be noted carefully that the candidates must fill in as well as bubble in ALL the relevant information including the “Question Booklet No. and Question Booklet Series” at the indicated places on both OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet during examination.


Dos and Don'ts
  • DO's :
    • Candidates have to bring one photo identification proof at the Examination Hall.
    • The photo identification may be Admit card of Class / Std.X /10+2 examinations.
    • Read the instructions carefully before filling-in of the Application Form.
    • Specify the Date of Birth correctly.
    • Choose the District and examination zones correctly.
    • Name of the candidate and complete mailing address with correct postal Pin Code (No.) should be filled up in designated places.
    • Paste colour photographs with gum so that it is not detached in any way.
    • Enter the examination hall only with your Admit Card and blue/black ball point pens.
    • Submit the OMR Answer Sheet to the Invigilator after completion of each session of Examination.
    • Write the Question Booklet No. in the specified places on both the OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet.
    • Maintain discipline and obey examination rules at all times.
  • DON'Ts :
    • Don’t staple or pin the photographs.
    • Don’t attest both photographs.
    • Don’t sign in capital letters.
    • Don’t bring Mobile Phone, Calculator or any other Electronic Gadget inside the Examination Hall.
    • Don’t resort to unfair practices at the examination hall.

CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB Admit Card: Important Points to Note
Admit Cards will be made available online from www.ampai.in from 10th May 2018. Candidates will be able to download their respective admit cards after providing their name, date of birth, user id (their email address) and password.

Important Information about CEE AMPAI 2018 WB Admit Card
Candidates must bring one copy A4 size print out of their admit cards at the examination hall on 13th May 2018.
Examinees must download their admit cards from the website (ampai.in) prior to attending the examination.
