	To meet the growing demand of Computer Application in the General Degree Level and to enable students to equip themselves with essential know-how of Computer Application Technology, Maharaja Manindra Chandra College has extended the opportunity to Studying Computer Application as a Major Subject at the degree level. We are happy to make the vocational course offered by the college attuned to the needs of the prevailing job markets. Affiliated to the Calcutta University approved by the UGC, with an accommodation of 45 seats, a 3 yr. Course has been launched for +2 level students scoring a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. College History

On the 15 th of July 1941 , a great expectation of the people leaving north of Beadon Street was fulfilled with the foundation of Maharaja Manindra Chandra College at 20, Ramkanto Bose Street , Kolkata-700 003. It had been possible due to the drive and initiative of some public-spirited personalities of the locality, especially due to the pioneering spirit of Dr. Panchanan Neogi I.E.S. (Retd.) a well-known educationist of the time and the benevolence of Maharaja Sris Chandra Nandy of Cossimbazar. As regards the college premises what needs to be specially noted is that it is an ancestral property of Maharaja Manindra Chandra Nandi and not a property of the Cossimbazar Estate.
