The results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 shall be declared on March 27. The exam was conducted for admissions to post-graduate programmes (ME, MTech, direct PhD) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other government agencies.
The answer keys of GATE 2017 has been published on February 27 on its official website. A module to contest answer keys will be available from 10 am on March 3 to March 6.
This year, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee conducted the test. The exam was held on February 4, February 5, February 11, and February 12, 2017. It had 23 papers (disciplines) which were conducted online (computer-based test). The candidate was supposed to appear in any one paper of the GATE examination. Some of the papers were held in multiple sessions.
About GATE:
1. GATE is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology
2. The exam is conducted for admissions to post-graduate programmes (e.g. ME, MTech, direct PhD) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other government agencies.
3. The scores may also be used by public and private sector.
