Indian Bank PO Main Exam 2017 Call Letter Released

The Indian Bank has released the admit cards of Probationary Officers (PO) main exam on its official website, indianbank.in.

How to download

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the tab, 'Career'
  • Thereafter, the candidates are required to click on to, 'Click here for downloading call letter for main examination (online)'
  • Enter Registration Number and Password
  • After submitting the same, the call letters will be displayed on the screen
  • Take a printout for future use
The last date for downloading the admit cards is February 28.

Selection procedure:

  • Candidates will be selected through an online exam (preliminary and main) followed by an interview.
  • Successful candidates will go through a nine-month course (campus programme) at Manipal Global Education Services, Bangalore followed by a three-month internship at any of the Indian Bank's branches.
  • On successful completion of the course, candidates will be appointed as a probationary officer in any branch of Indian Bank.

Main exam pattern:
The main exam is scheduled to be held on February 28. It will consist of objective test for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks. Both the exam will be conducted online.

Objective test:
The exam will have 200 objective type questions based on based on reasoning, English language, general awareness (with special reference to banking industry), computer knowledge and quantitative aptitude.

Descriptive test:
The test will be held for 30 minutes duration. It will be a test of English language (letter writing and essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the descriptive test by securing passing marks.
