Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) will be conducting NPAT 2017 for admission to BDes course for the academic session 2017. The registration for the same are on and also those who are interested in applying for the same till April 30. NPAT Test is scheduled to be conducted on May 13 and 14.

The B.Des. programme ensures holistic development of a student: mind-set, knowledge and skill. The curriculum is focused around designing innovative, impactful solutions with emergent technologies in sync with the evolved Design Practice.

About NPAT:

NPAT 2017 (NMIMS programmes after twelfth) is the official entrance test for admissions to undergraduate degree and integrated degree programmes (academic session 2017-18) being offered by constituent schools of NMIMS at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Indore and Navi Mumbai campuses.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational qualification:
The candidate must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination, including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate / and D.P awarded candidates are not eligible) in any stream, from a recognised board in the first attempt and should have obtained a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks.

Age limit:

The age of the candidates applying for this programme must not exceed 25 years.

The program will prepare the students with:

  • Core capabilities of a Designer: Expertise in creative thinking, visualisation and conceptualising skills and Innovative mind sets.
  • Problem solving skills with a scientific approach: Adapt to new scenarios to apply, analyse and synthesise the knowledge in sociology, psychology and applied sciences in the context of design to arrive at holistic solutions
  • Abilities to humanise technology: Comprehension to understand the possibilities with current and emergent technologies to deliver a viable, sustainable futuristic, and outcome driven design.
  • Expertise in User-centred, collaborative process: Generate a response that leads the team to User centric /collaborative paths to find opportunity spaces that can be explored via design to create business value.
  • Implementation with Multidisciplinary alignment and Business Acumen: Respond with cross functional, multidisciplinary empathy and ethical mind-set to work in collaboration and lead with creative and emotional intelligence.

  • Job profiles such as Consumer Insights and Design Research, Communication Design, Experience design, UX & UI, Design Research, Innovation facilitation, Service Design in all sectors
  • Begin Design led start-ups.
  • Pursue a Masters in Design in India or Abroad.
