SSC CHSL Tier 1 Results to be published soon

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will declare the results of Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier 1 2016 soon on its official website ssc.nic.in

The Commission conducted CHSL Tier I in the computer based mode from January 7 to February 5. Over 64,09,965 candidates appeared for the examination. After qualifying in Tier 1, the candidates will have to appear in Tier 2 exam which is Descriptive paper. The exam will be held on April 9.

Tier II (Descriptive paper):

  • Tier-II Paper of CHSL 2016 will be a descriptive paper of 100 marks in 'pen and paper mode'. The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates). This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in government jobs
  • The paper would comprise writing of an essay of 200-250 words and letter/application writing of approximately 150-200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in tier-II would be 33 per cent. The performance in tier II would be included for preparing merit. The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and part in English will not be evaluated
The candidates will be selected against the posts of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Lower Division Clerk and Court Clerk.

  • SSC is an organisation that works under the government of India to hire staff for the several posts in various ministries and departments of the government and in subordinate groups. The commission works under the central government that conducts recruitment of Group B non-gazetted and Group C non-technical vacancies in the country.
