The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2017 registration process has already begun on the official website, the link for which is annauniv.edu.

All the candidates are requested to apply for the same till February 28.

The entrance exam will be conducted on March 25th and March 26th, 2017.

TANCET is conducted for admission to the following programmes:

• Master of Business Administering (M.B.A)
• Master of Computer Application (M.C.A)
• Master of Engineering (M.E)
• Master of Technology (M.Tech)
• Master of Architecture (M.Arch)
• Master of Planning (M.Plan)

The exam is conducted by Anna University, Chennai and is a gateway for admission to all government approved educational institutes in Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational qualification:
All the candidates interested in applying need to possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university/institute.

Selection Procedure:

All the candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.

Entrance Test Fee (Only through Online):

The Candidates have to pay 500/- (250/- for SC /SCA /ST candidates) towards the entrance test fee for any one of the programmes either 1. M.B.A. (or) 2. M.C.A. (or) 3. M.E/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. degree programmes.

A candidate applying for more than one programme has to pay 500/- (250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) for each additional programme through online only.

How to Apply:

• Log on to the official website, annauniv.edu
• Click on the link which says TANCET 2017
• Click on 'Online Registration'
• Login using your user id and password
• Enter all the required details in the prescribed format
• Click to Submit
• Take a print out of the same for future reference.

Candidates have to appear for the entrance test at the allotted centres at their own cost and risk.

Every effort will be taken to comply with the candidate’s choice for the entrance test centre. However, any other centre may be allotted to few candidates due to reasons like non-availability of space. In any case, a centre once allotted cannot be changed for any reasons.
