ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. HONOURS Admission
Aggregate is total of best four subjects excluding Compulsory Environmental Studies for all boards including West Bengal Higher Secondary Council for 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014 as well as 2013.

Criteria for General Category Applicants intending to take Honours
A candidate intending to take up Honours course in a subject must have obtained:

A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
OR
-
55% marks in the subject or related subjects.
OR
-
50% marks in the aggregate, when the subject is not studied.

Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies will NOT be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject Environmental Science is studies as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken in to account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

Criteria for SC/ST Category* Applicants intending to take Honours
A candidate intending to take up Honours course in a subject must have obtained:

A minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies will NOT be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject Environmental Science is studies as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken in to account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
