• ADMISSION PROCEDURE
  • Merit lists of qualified candidates have been published in the following two segments :
    • First merit list with number of candidates equal to the number of seats in each respective subject.
    • Second merit list includes rest of the qualified candidates.
    • If any candidate from the First Merit List does not take admission, the candidates from Second Merit List will be considered for admission according to their position in the merit list.
  • The candidates qualified for admission (both from First and Second Lists) will have to report for admission to the table of respective department at the Derozio Hall (University Auditorium) as per the following schedule, failing which the candidature will be deemed cancelled. No further claim in this regard will be considered under any circumstances.

    • Final list of selected candidates will be recommended for admission after counseling/considering the choices of the candidates reported for admission.
  • REPORTING FOR ADMISSION WILL INVOLVE FOLLOWING STEPS :
    • The candidate will have to fill in the reporting slip available at the Derozio Hall (University Auditorium) at the time of reporting.
    • Candidates securing position in the First Lists of two subjects should seek admission in the subject of his/her choice and report to only one department accordingly.
    • A candidate, securing position in the First List of one (or two) subject(s) and second list (s) of the other(s),
      • and willing to get admitted with Honours in the subject, for which his/her name is in the First List, should report to that department only;
      • with the first choice for the subject for which his/her name is in the second list, should report to both (or all the three, whichever may be the situation) the departments, mentioning the order of preference of subject in the prescribed proforma. If after final counseling, the position of the candidate is raised, the candidate will get Honours subject of his/her first choice. Otherwise, he/she will have to take admission with Honours in the subject of his/her second/third choice.
    • A candidate, securing position in the second lists of two (or three) subjects, should report to two (or three) departments separately mentioning the order of preference of subjects in prescribed proforma. Admission will be offered only if the position of the candidate is elevated after final counseling.
    • Candidates, qualified for only one subject (First or Second List), should report to the respective department.
  • Further instructions and assistance related to admission will be given at the time of reporting/counseling.
