Admission Notification :

Applications are invited in prescribed form for admission to B.Ed. Course for the session 2013-14, in the Govt.-aided & self-financing B.Ed. Colleges affiliated to Vidyasagar University (NCTE approved).

Eligibility :

Candidates (both Fresher & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in Master’s degree, for SC/ST/PH Category 45% marks either in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in Master’s degree in Arts/Science/Commerce having two subjects each at the degree level of the available method subjects (Bengali, English, History, Sanskrit, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Life Science, Physical Science, Work Education, Education) taught in the colleges are eligible. Fresher Candidates be within 38 years of age as on 30.06.2013 and Deputed teachers from W.B. Govt./Govt.- aided institution having at least one year teaching experience as on 30.06.2013. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PH Candidates as per Govt. rules. 5% seats of the fresher candidates will be filled up from Other University. Candidates bearing Pass/Gen Roll No. or holding certificate in Pass/Gen Course be considered as Pass/Gen Category. Merit List will be published on 24.04.2013. Selection of the Students will be made through counselling by central selection committee for B.Ed. Admission on & from 14.05.13 to 30.05.13 (with enrolment charge of Rs. 3000/-). Candidates pursuing any other Course of Studies/Job/Full-time Research Work will not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously.

Procedure for Application :

Application Forms along with Prospectus and 3- part payment challan (UCO Bank) can be downloaded from the Website http://bed.vidyasagar.ac.in, http://www.vidyasagar.ac.in from 11.03.2013 to 26.03.2013. Application Fees of Rs.200/- is to be deposited at any branch of UCO Bank using the 3 -parts fees payment Challan [PAY-IN-SLIP]. Filled in application form along with the 2nd copy of the 3- part payment challan and attested copies of testimonials is to be submitted by hand to the University B.Ed. Counter during 14.03.2013 to 26.03.2013 (upto 4.00 p.m.)on all working days. No Form will be received by post.

• STEP 1 :
  
  • Use Internet and visit the website mentioned above. See the Admission Notification for Eligibility etc.
  
  
  • Download the appropriate type of form ( Deputed – for teacher of W.B. Govt. aided school having 1 yr. experience of teaching. Fresher - for candidates other than teacher having fulfilled the above eligibility criteria) and take print out in two separate A4 Page.
  
  
  • Download the Bank Challan [PAY-IN-SLIP] and the Prospectus/Information sheet / Instruction sheet and take print out.


• STEP 2 :
  
  • Fill in the Bank Challan [PAY-IN-SLIP] to deposit Rs. 220/- ( Rs. 200 as Application fee + Rs. 20/- as bank charges) and go to any branch of UCO Bank in West Bengal and deposit the amount. Please note that after depositing the amount, you have received the 2nd copy and 3rd copy of the Challan with signature,stamp and transaction id number of Bank written.


• STEP 3 :
  
  • Fill up the Application Form strictly by following the instruction as laid down in the following pages of this document. Incomplete application form will be treated as cancelled and will not be considered for merit list. Enclose all required testimonials(both side Xerox+attested). Enclose the 2nd copy of the bank challan at the top of the form. Submit the form to the University B.Ed. Counter on any day during 14.03.2013- 26.03.2013(upto 4.00 PM). To meet the growing demand for trained teachers in qualitative development of Secondary Schools in West Bengal, it was decided to open from 1959 a new Government Sponsored Post Graduate Teacher Education Degree College at the Sub-Divisional town of Jhargram situated on the South eastern railway in the district of Medinipur. The Trustees of Sevayatan agreed to offer land for building, site and necessary initial assistance for the implementation of the scheme. Accordingly, Sevayatan Sikshan Mahavidyalaya was started at Sevayatan about three miles off from the Sub-divisional head quarter. Sevayatan is committed to build an abode of service in respect of body, mind and soul. Harmonisation of the three aspects of human being is sought to be fulfilled mainly through education. The special feature of educational activities of Sevayatan lies in so far as it tries to vitalise some of the educational ideals of ancient India fusing them with the requirements of modern times. With the same end in view government entrusted to the board of trustees a great duty of organising various types of institutions into an uniform educational edifice. The Trustees, therefore, liked to see that its special features are reproduced and its ideals of man making is maintained in its educational entities. Sevayatan conforms to an ashram type and it comprises a number of institutions of which the Sevayatan Sikshan Mahavidyalaya is to form the Vanguard.
