Eligibility Criteria

• • 55% marks in the aggregate or
  • 50 % marks in the aggregate with 60 % marks in the subject.
• Only students who have 40% marks in the aggregate qualify to apply for general courses and for BBA and BCA.
• Applicants for Economics Honours must have passed in Mathematics or Business Economics including Business Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
• No candidate shall be allowed to take up any subject except Computer Science, Microbiology, Bio-technology and such other interdisciplinary subjects in B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. course if he/she has failed to pass in the corresponding subject(s) at the Higher Secondary Examination (10 + 2) or an examination recognized as equivalent by the University of North Bengal.
• Applicants for physics Honours / General must have passed in Mathematics and Chemistry along with Physics in the qualifying examination.
• Applicants for Chemistry Honours must have passed in Mathematics and Physics in the qualifying examination.
• Applicants for Computer Science Honours/General must have passed in Mathematics and Physics in the qualifying Examination. Applicants who have passed in Computer Science must have passed also in Mathematics and Physics in the qualifying examination to take up Computer Science Honours/General.
• Applicants for BCA must have passed in Mathematics.
• Applicants for Micro-biology Honours must have passed in Chemistry and Biology in qualifying Examination. The selected candidates must take Chemistry and Zoology as electives.
• No candidate shall be allowed to take up more than one of the following language subjects as elective :
  i) Nepali, ii) Hindi
• Candidates applying for Honours in a subject shall not be allowed to take up the same subject as elective.
• Candidate applying for Honours in a Language subject shall not be allowed to take up another Language subject as elective.
• Students of Higher Secondary (Vocational) course (10 + 2 levels) shall be eligible to apply for admission only in the General course of B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. and BBA and BCA.

Foreign Nationals (except those from Bhutan and Nepal) must obtain :
(1) Student Visa from the Govt. of India for their stay in the country and
(2) Residential Permit from the Local Administration of Darjeeling.
