• Applications are invited for admission to one year Pre-M.A. course (2017-18) in Russian.
• Eligibility : Graduate from any stream and Diploma in Russian.
• Application Forms : Application forms for admission may be obtained at the Dept. of Languages on payment of Rs.100/- (Rs.50/-for SC/ST/PWD) payable at C.U. Cash counter. Reservation Rules apply.
• Submission of Applications : The last date of submission (2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.) of application along with attested copies of testimonials and photographs at the Department of Languages, Asutosh Bldg., 2nd floor is 11.08.2017.
• Number of seats : The number of seats to the course is 10(ten). Reservation rules apply.

Selection Procedure

• WRITTEN EXAMINATION : 18.08.2017 (2:00P.M to 4:00P.M).
• VIVA-VOCE : 21.08.2017 (4:30 P.M. onwards).
• VENUE : Department of Languages, Ashutosh Building, 2nd floor. College Street Campus.
• Commencement of Classes will be announced in due course.
• Attendance during the session : Minimum 60% of the total classes held.

Examination scheme

• Paper I : Translation and Advanced Grammar
• Paper II : Essay, Comprehension and Textual questions
• Paper III : History of Ancient Russian Literature(10th - 18th century) & Culture and Civilization.
• Paper IV : Oral Examination
• Further Studies : Successful candidates from Pre-M.A. will be admitted to M.A. in Russian.
