Schedule of different stages of Admission to PG Engg / Tech. / Arch / Pharm Courses

The following schedule to be maintained regarding receipt, processing of applications and admission test of the candidates for admission to P.G. Courses in 2018-2019 session:
A P.G. Application site opens on June 5, 2018
B Last date of online Registration June 18, 2018
C Online submission of application June 5-21, 2018
(till 5:00 P.M. of June 21, 2018)
  After registering on the PG Engg Application portal of JU, a candidate will be allowed to fill in their remaining information and pay the application fees only after two bank working days.
D Uploading of document status in website for rectification, if necessary June 28, 2018
E Admit Card available for downloading at least 3 days before Admission Test
F Acknowledgement Receipt available for downloading for candidates exempted from Admission Test July 4, 2018
G Date of Web-posting of Merit list in each course/specialization and 1st List of Selected Candidates July 12, 2018
H First Round of Admission July 17 & 18, 2018
I Date of Web-posting of Final Wait List of Selected Candidates July 20, 2018
J Spot Round of Admission July 23 & 24, 2018
  All of final wait-listed candidates willing to participate in the spot round must report at 10am sharp on July 23, 2018 at TEQIP Building in J.U. Main Campus to register their willingness to participate in the spot round. This process of registration will remain open only for 1 hour, after which no such request for registration can be entertained. The allocation of course/specialization to the candidates registered on that day will be displayed by 2pm in front of TEQIP Building, immediately after which the admission process will begin.
K Date of orientation for commencement of class in respective Dept/School July 25, 2018
* In case of any exigency, the revision of dates will be notified on the website (given in Article 1 in Page 1). Any latter round or closure of the admission process will be duly notified on the website depending on the seat position after fourth round.

FOR GATE/GPAT, SPONSORED AND SELF-SPONSORED CANDIDATES
Candidates are requested to download their Admit-card (available under application status link) and to bring his/her admit card after pasting his/her recent photograph also with signature in the specified space at the time of admission test. They should also submit a copy of all self attested documents uploaded during on-line application submission along with the original document of each.

  • After a student takes provisional admission for a specialization, if he/she decides to opt out, a switch will be available to him/her online where he/she could express his/her willingness to discontinue making way for candidates waiting to take admission.

    Qualifying Examination Result -- 40% after conversion to out of 100 basis

    Admission Test* -- 50% after conversion to out of 100 basis
    Relevant Experience -- 10% after conversion to out of 100 basis
    (1 mark per year of relevant experience; Maximum Mark - 10)
    * Note: In Civil Engineering and Electronics & Tele. Comm. Engg. Departments at least 20% and in Mechanical and Production Engineering Departments at least 50% score in the Admission Test are the respective minimum eligibility criterion. In Power Engineering Department, admission test is required only for candidates without valid GATE score in Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE) Instrumentation (IN) Engg or Engg. Sc. (XE) who will be considered first for selection and candidates appearing in admission test will be considered only if the list of such candidates in Power Engineering Department gets exhausted. For the candidates applying under sponsored category with valid GATE score, the Admission test marks will be substituted by GATE score.
    In both the courses in Water Resources & Hydraulics Engineering Sponsored candidates should appear in interview after the Admission Test.

  • Passed / Appeared / due to appear candidates must upload their 200dpi scanned self-attested copies of all available semester mark-sheets (at least up to 6th, preferably 7thsemester for 4 year UG courses and at least 8th, preferably 9th semester in case of Architecture; a certificate from Controller of Examiner in case the final year odd semester result is not available) and GATE/GPAT Card at the time of submission of ONLINE Application and bring all Original Semester Marks-sheet and GATE/GPAT Card at the time of Verification of Documents during Admission & Admission Test.
