Sennappulavar Karmega Konar Noolagam

The library is a growing organism, more and more number of books and journals are being added to our college library. To the existing 27,010 books, 3310 volumes of books from regular account and 650 volumes of books from self finance account were added this year. The library subscribes five leading daily newspapers, 83 journals and magazines, relating to different subjects. An open access system of reference for easy accessibility is available for both UG &PG students. 405 audio and video cassettes and 501 back volumes of periodicals are available.

Transportation

In our college for the safer transport for the students, the transportation is provided.

Mineral Water Plant

The college management has installed the RO mineral water plant inside the college for beneficiary of the students, staffs and visitors. All the students are provided with the pure mineral water inside the campus 24 * 7.

Hostel Accomodation

At Mulayam Singh Yadav Women's Hostel 744 students reside in 103 spacious and hygienic rooms. The inmates are given coaching in Yoga, Hindi, Tailoring and Karatae. Ms C. Usha, Ms R. Chitra Devi, as hostel directors, take care of the resident students and train them to live in harmony. The most noticeable aspect in our hostel is the inmates subscribe the English daily newspaper, " THE HINDU" and read it every day to update their knowledge on current events. A facelift has been given to our hostel with addition of spacious 103 rooms.

E.M.G Gopala Krishna Kone Yadava Women’s College was established in the year 1974, with the vision of building a strong and healthy society by providing Value added Education to socially and economically backward Women, with the motto.

“Mahalir Arivu Kudumba Uyarvu”

The Institution has been Administered under the Governance of E.M.Gopala Krishna Kone Yadava Mahalir Kalloori (Women’s College) Association, Madurai, and affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University.

The College was started only with Pre – University course at E.M.G . Kalyana Mandapam at Tallakulam and the Institution was repositioned at the current location with an area of 15 acres of land contributed by the E.M.G. charitable Trust in 1980. Thus, the implementation and realization of the vision of Thiru. E.M.Gopala Krishna Kone was initiated by our beloved mother, Tmt ,E.S.R.Alamelu Ammal. Thiru, E.M.G. Soundarajan has become the life time President of the College and patronized the Institution till 2008. The sincere and adorable service of Thiru, E.M.G. Soundararajan is being continued by Tmt. E.M.G.S. Indirani, lady of determination, Social responsibility and religious Zeal renders her service for the empowerment and enlightenment of women which develops the Institution to reach an unimagined height.

The college offers (13) Thirteen UG courses, (6) Six Post Graduate courses, (4) four Certificate courses and (6) Six Diploma courses.

Yoga, Hindi classes, Beautician courses and Two Wheeler& Four Wheeler driving courses are offered as self development Programmes. Entry in service coaching classes, Personality development courses and NET /SET coaching classes are being organized by the college for the benefit of the students.
