Elligibility Criteria

Smart Class Room

12 class rooms are provided with LCD Projectors and smart boards. The use of smart boards enhances the teaching-learning process since it implements the latest technology in projecting the teaching materials.

Laboratory

The College has adequate state of art laboratory facilities for teaching andlearning process. All the departments are provided with sufficient number ofclass rooms and laboratories.The College is well equipped with more than 300 computers with 5Mbps internet facility and 15 LCD Projectors.

The Institution motivates the researchers by providing Research Lab with 36 Computers. The Biochemistry department has 2 spacious and well-equipped laboratories for the UG and PG students. The Microbiology department has 2 well established laboratories and acentralized instrumentation room for the UG, PG students and research scholars.

Library

The total area of the library is 3300 sq.ft with a seating capacity of 120 numbers. The library functions from 8.30 to 5.00 PM on all working days. Our library is an excellent ever growing library with a good collection of books on various subjects of different disciplines of science, humanities and social science.

Transport

The college has a fleet of buses that ply from important points in and around Coimbatore to the campus and back to facilitate comfortable commuting for both students and staff.

The buses are manned by drivers who are well trained and experienced in safe driving practices. The buses covers major areas around the city via Maruthamalai / vadavalli route, Periyanaickenpalayam and Singanaloor.

Hostel

The college has hostel to accommodate outstation students. The hostels have spacious and well-ventilated rooms in hygienic environment.

Placement Facilities

Placement Cell takes special steps to ensure necessary training for the student community in making them confident individuals relating to career requirements. The Placement and Training cell provides regular career guidance through various training programmes, job melas, internship training etc. The students are informed regarding vacancies offered by the IT Industries and other sectors, last date and other important information.Skill oriented programmes are offered for the benefit of the students to meet their employability needs. Aptitude Tests, communicative skills development training and workshops are conducted to meet the job market confidently.

Sports

Sports and games provide an excellent opportunity for students to interact with each other, develop true sportsman spirit and team spirit, as well as to stay healthy. We have participated in the Bharathiar University Tournaments and Athlete meet. It also conducted Indoor and Outdoor Games Tournaments and organized the Athlete Meet to the Students.Table Tennis, Chess, Carom, Volleyball, Ball Badminton, Throw Ball, Shuttle Badminton and Tennikoit Tournaments are conducted in College Premises. Athlete Meet was conducted at Nehru Stadium.

Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women successfully completes its pride walk of 24 years and enters into its 25th year of selfless education to the Woman folk, Enlightening and Enhancing them to equip themselves in this competent world.

“Educating a woman enlightens a family”- with this aspiration, the SNR Charitable Trust started Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women in the year 1991. It is the first Self-financing Women's college, affiliated to Bharathiar University located in the heart of the city. The college offers 8 UG Programmes, 5 PG Programmes and 5 Research programmes. The exclusive women campus consists of 1800 plus students with 78 dedicated faculty members. Nearly 30 faculty members are qualified with Doctoral degree and 25 are pursuing Ph.D programmes in various disciplines.

More than 100 papers are published in reputed National and International journals to enhance the research culture among the students and faculty members. The students are also motivated to participate and present their research articles in National and International Conferences to share their views and to identify the future direction in their area of research. A total amount of Rs 6,10,000 is received from the various government funding agencies like UGC, DRDO, DST etc. To explore the job opportunities the institution has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various industries like Infosys, Ladder minds, Minveli Infotech Pvt Ltd, Vestige Technologies Pvt Ltd, Greetha Creative world and ROOTS.

The college has well-established Smart Classrooms and secured environment which supports the development of intellectual and moralistic ideas of the students. It also offers both In-house and Outbound training for enhancing individual and team performance.

A number of educational tours and industrial visits are arranged for the students to broaden their knowledge about the insights of the technical world. Adding to its achievement since its inception the college has secured a total of 239 university ranks and 22 gold medals. The exuberant achievement of the students follows up by the strenuous work of the faculties of the various departments. Our college has excellent hostel facilities for the outsiders. Good transportation facilities are available for students to ply to various parts of Coimbatore on a low fare. Various club activities are organised for the students to excel in their creative capabilities.

The college is proud of having an Alumni Association where alumni volunteer their time and offer their expertise through meetings and sponsors to inspire the aspiring students. The college has all modern educational infrastructure and facilities including a large library with large volumes of books, Journals and Magazines.
