ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidate seeking admission at A. B. N .Seal College, Cooch Behar, must apply online only through the website www.abnscollege.org. The online registration starts from 05/07/2022 sharp and will be closed on 05/08/2022. Applicants are requested to follow the admission schedule for their convenience.

Interested applicants who want to seek for admission at UG level, in different courses, at A. B. N. Seal College, Cooch Behar, are requested to go through the College Prospectus 2022 thoroughly, as clearly visible on the admission portal, before initiating with the form fill up process.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who have passed H. S. or equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022 are only eligible to apply in UG Courses.
• Students who have passed in at least 4 subjects with English as one of the compulsory subject excluding Environmental Studies or Environmental Education, those students who have obtained either
  i) 55% marks in aggregate; or
  ii) 50% marks in aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examination, shall be eligible to apply for admission to honours in the subject concerned in general / unreserved category.
  However, the above criterion gets reduced to :
  i) 50% marks in aggregate; or
  ii) 45% marks in aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examination shall be eligible to apply for admission to honours in the subject concerned in SC/ST category.
• For all laboratory-based subjects, the students must have passed in that subject at 10+2 level, if that subject exists in the HS subject list or equivalent subject if it does not exist in the HS list of subjects, as per existing admission guideline of the University.
• All students of Higher Secondary with Vocational Course (10+2) course will be treated as equivalent with the course curriculum and syllabus of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and such students shall be admitted only in the first year General (Program) course of B.A/B.Sc.
