ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Selection Procedure

The admission brochure and application form of VJIM can be obtained on payment of Rs.1000/-. The forms are required to be completed and submitted in the admission office. Application form can also be downloaded from the Institute’s website www.vjim.edu.in (in admissions menu)

Eligible candidates form the categories (a) and (b) above shall appear for a written Entrance Test conducted by CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / CMAT / GMAT

Those short listed on the basis of above scores shall be called of Opinion Talk (OT) and Personal Interview (PI) for final selection.
Candidates shall be admitted based on the overall performance, and offer letter will be issued to them. However, students need to pay fees within the stipulated time which shall be notified.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Fresh Graduates from recognized universities
  • Graduates or post graduates with work experience in private organizations
  • Candidates sponsored by member Industry of VignanaJyothi.
  • Working executives, from Government departments and PSUs, with more than 5 years’ service. They are expected to join the parent organization after the successful completion of the program.
  • NRI sponsored candidates.

Learning Facilities

Lecture Theatre: State of art lecture theatres are provided with modern audio - visual systems. The classrooms are aesthetically designed, are spacious, well lit and well ventilated. They are designed for conventional lectures and group discussions.

Library

The library is fully Computerized. The LRC holds knowledge resources predominantly related to management and allied subjects. Learning Resource Centre offers an excellent collection of over 7022 Titles (Over 12102 books) to which 1000 are added every year. In addition, Library also subscribes to more than 160 Journals and Magazines, both national and International. A wide spectrum of corporate and Economic information is provided through collection of Company Annual Reports and Economic Intelligence service reports of Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), William Pfeiffer Annual since 1972, Harvard Business Review Collection, Case studies, Project reports and a wide range of CD's. The Library collection includes the the online databases which are accessed through Institute's network. Users can access the online databases and also find out the real-time availability of library materials from their own computer terminals. LRC is Institutional member of British Library, ISB Library, Developing Library Network (DELNET) and Management Libraries Network (MANLIBNET).

IT Infrastructure

Business education relies a lot on IT infrastructure. VJIM had been consistently upgrading its IT infrastructure on ongoing basis. Located in a state - of - the - art building, VJIM has Air Conditioned classrooms fitted with audio system, latest DLP projectors and PCs/Laptops integrated with campus wide network. The campus wide network is extended to hostels through a dedicated radio link. Both campus and hostels are fully wireless enabled to provide internet access and all other resources on 24X7 basis from any location in campus or hostels.

Laptops for everyone

All students, faculty and key members of staff are equipped with latest model of laptops, which facilitate them to access the learning resources available on campus and on internet round the clock from any place in campus and hostels.

Internet

24X7 Internet access is provided to all members in the Campus/ Hostels through a 4 MBPS leased line.

Campus wide network

The campus wide network is based on 100 MBPS Ethernet technology. It covers the Institute, Classrooms, Library, Faculty and staff. It has more than 120 computers, a number of heavy duty Printers/Copying machines connected through a CAT 6 category cable.

Wireless Access

The entire campus and hostels have a parallel wireless network. Campus and the hostels have been linked through a dedicated point to point VHF link. This enable every one to access entire network resources from any where in the campus and hostels.

Computer Resource Centre

Computer centre has a branded server system and more than 100 Intel Dual Core processor based systems on campus wide network. It is equipped with color laser printer, high speed network Printer/Copier, Scanners, DVD writers, Digital cameras and movie camera. Computer Resource centre provides network based services such as email, Access to national, International databases, Groupware, Scanning and Printing. It also provides laptops, DLP projectors, digital camera and movie camera.

The institute has also executed Campus agreement with Micro Soft for Windows Vista Business Edition operating system, Windows Server 2008, MS Office 2007 and MS Project etc.

Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) was set up by the Vignana Jyothi educational society in 1993. Vignana Jyothi is registered as a non-profit educational society under the Societies Act. Vignana Jyothi manages five educational institutions including VJIM. The society has eminent personalities like Padmasree Dr. Karkarla Subba Rao, Dr. Rama Naidu, film producer, Dr. D. N. Rao, promoter of X_Design Ventures, Sri. Narne Prabhakar, Sri K. Harish Chandra Prasad, who were former presidents of FAPCCI, Sr. D. Ashok, Chairman, Navbharat Ventures, Sri. Raja Rama Mohana Rao, Chairman, SEW Constructions and many other successful industrialists and philanthropists as members. The institute is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It is an autonomous institution awarding Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) approved by the AICTE, and accredited by NAAC, NBA and AIU. The institute is ranked among the top 50 B-Schools by rating agencies.
