Eligibility Criteria

• Calculation of Agreegate :
  • Aggregate = Total marks of best Five (5) subjects
  • Compulsory Environmental Studies will NOT be considered for this purpose.
• Cut off marks in B.A./ B.Sc.Honourse Subjects :

  • As per the norms of the  Burdwan University  all  candidates  (including  reserved category) should have at least 45% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level  except  in Music where candidates with at least 40% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level can apply. In addition to that they have to secure the minimum marks in concerned and / or allied subjects as stated below.

  • For B.A. General Course :
    All Categories: Passed in at least five subjects of 100 marks each (excluding compulsory Environmental Studies) in the qualifying examination.
  • For B.Sc. General Course (Physical Science) :
    All Categories: Passed in at least five subjects of 100 marks each (excluding compulsory Environmental Studies) in the qualifying examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Geography.
  • For B.Sc. General Course (Biological Science) :
    All Categories: Passed in at least five subjects of 100 marks each (excluding compulsory Environmental Studies) with Biological Science and Chemistry / Geography

→Please note that B.A. General Students have to study one Language subject in each semester as L-1 and L-2 alternatively irrespective of other two electives from the available combinations

→ As per University norms we can offer only English (L-1) and Bengali (L-2) in alternative semesters
