Overseas Students [SAARC, Non-SAARC and FSRI, and NRI]

The Indira Gandhi National Open University IGNOU 2021-22 academic session registration process has been started for overseas students' online programmes. The registration link for admission to IGNOU has been activated by the varsity.
Candidates willing to take admission to any of the courses offered by IGNOU can visit the official website of the institute, i.e., ignou.ac.in and apply.

IGNOU Admission 2021 - Eligibility

• All students who are interested and belong to the SAARC and Non-SAARC countries, Foreign Students Residing in India (FSRI), and NRI can register through the official website, which is, ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU Admission 2021 - Steps to apply

• Visit the official site of IGNOU--ignou.ac.in.
• Click on the link “Link for online programme admission for overseas students (SAARC, Non-SAARC and FSRI, and NRI)”.
• A new window will open. Click on the ‘New registration’ tab.
• Fill in your details to register.
• Click on Submit and it will create a new user id.
• Using the new id, Fill in the application.
• Pay the required application fee.
• Submit and Download the application form for future use.

About courses offered by IGNOU

• IGNOU provides 16 online courses at the level of masters and bachelors apart from Diploma and Certificate programmes offered to overseas students.
• The teachers can teach the students with the help of videos and associated reading materials via online mode.
• IGNOU one-time application processing fee for SAARC students is Rs 2000 and for Non- SAARC students is Rs 200.

Important Instruction

1. This portal is only applicable to foreign Students only.
2. Indian national students residing in India shall apply through separate portal https://ignouforeigniop.samarth.edu.in
3. If you are a first time applicant you are advised to download the Prospectus for International Students 2021-2022 and read carefully the Rules of the University(Section 6).
4. You are also requested to see available programmes in the Programme Module of the International Student Online Programme Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc. in the Prospectus for International Students 2020-2021.
5. Before proceeding for filling the form online the applicant must have the following:-
   1. Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
   2. Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
   3. Scanned copy of Age Proof (less than 200 KB)
   4. Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
   5. Passport/Visa/Study Visa
   6. Citizenship Card/Proof of Nationality
   7. Proof of residence in India (if Applicable)
   8. OCI/PIO/UNHCR Refugee Card
6. Fee can be paid by following methods:

• Credit Card (Master/Visa)
• Debit Card (Master/Visa)
