DSSSB Recruitment 2019 - 204 vacancies. Check details.

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released a notification for recruitment of a total of 204 vacancies for welfare officers and other posts. The interested candidates can apply for the recruitment drive before 5 March 2019.

DSSSB Recruitment 2019: Vacancy details

  • Number of posts for welfare officer, probation officer, prison welfare officer: 110
  • Number of posts for Lower Division Clerk: 27
  • Number of posts for Stenographer (grade 2): 6
  • Number of posts for Junior Lab Assistant: 7
  • Number of posts for Legal Assistant: 5
  • Number of posts for Scientific Assistant: 1
  • Number of posts for Junior Environmental Engineer: 48

Eligibility criteria:

  • Lower Division Clerk: Candidates should have passed Class 12 exam or equivalent from a recognised board. They should also have a typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on the computer.
  • Stenographer (Grade 2): Candidates should be class 12th passed or equivalent under 10+2 system from a recognized board or university. The speed of 80 wpm in shorthand and 40 wpm typewriting in English or Speed or 80 wpm in shorthand and 35 wpm typewriting in Hindi.
  • Junior Lab Assistant: Candidates should have cleared class 12th with science stream from a recognized Board with three years of experience in laboratory works or should possess a degree in Science from a recognized university/institution.
  • Legal Assistant: Candidates should hold a degree in Law from a recognized university.
  • Scientific Assistant: Candidates should hold a master's degree in Science (MSc) from a recognized university/institution.
  • Junior Environmental Engineer: Candidates should hold a degree in Engineering in Environment / Civil from a recognized university or institution or 3 years Diploma in Engineering in Environment / Civil from a recognized board/university or institution and 3 years experience in pollution control activity / sewerage works is required.
  • Welfare Officer / Probation Officer / Prison Welfare Officer in Social Welfare Department: Candidates should hold a master's degree in social work or master of art (Sociology) or postgraduate degree in Criminology from a recognized university/Institute.

Selection process:

  • The candidates will be selected on the basis of one tier and two tier examination scheme and skill test, wherever applicable.
