CLAT 2021 to be Held in Offline Mode on July 23

  • The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021, which is the entrance to 22 national law schools will be held on July 23 in the physical mode. The Consortium of National Law Schools said that this years CLAT, unlike last year will not be in the online mode and candidates will have to come to the exam venue to write their papers. Last year several problems arose during the online exams and some candidates had even moved to court stating that they had faced difficulties while correlating the questions to the answers.
  • West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), which will conduct the exams here has already started planning for the exam centres. Earlier, NUJS would set up nine exam centres. This time the number might go up to double keeping in mind the distancing issue. We are waiting for the central office to send us the details of those who have registered from Bengal and Sikkim. Accordingly, a mapping will be done and their centres will be allotted, explained Nirmal Kanti Chakraborty, vice-chancellor of NUJS. Each candidate will come in vaccinated and this will be part of the rules.
