IIM, Udaipur - Admission to One Year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) 2021

One Year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) offers a solid foundation in Management Fundamentals and intensive specialization in GSCM. It is a full-time residential program.

The IIM Supply Chain Management program offers a full 12 months program at IIM Udaipur with a focus on Global Supply Chain Management including a live supply chain project starting in Term two and ending in Term three.

    + Curriculum

    One Year MBA - GSCM consists of three terms:
    • Term 1
      Management Fundamentals 18 weeks

      The first term consists of mandatory courses covering the key tools, concepts and analytical skills used in all major functional areas with a focus on supply chain management.

      Foundation: These courses focus on developing the knowledge and analytical ability that support the understanding of the functional areas of business studies.

      Functional: These courses cover the fundamentals of business and management studies and equip the participants to understand and apply advanced concepts.

      Integrative: Integrative courses enable students to understand how to develop a holistic understanding of organizations and the problems they face and see how different functions relate to each other.

      Skill Building: In addition to basic and functional knowledge, a management professional is required to develop and apply a variety of skills and use multiple tools that enable decision-making and better management. Picking up and sharpening these skills is a life-long process and courses designed for building skills get participants started on this journey.

      Domain expertise: The curriculum is designed to enable participants to become experts in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) domain at a global level. This set of courses provides a foundation for them to learn advanced SCM concepts. participants are also exposed to the digital world of supply chain management.
    • Term 2
      Supply Chain Perspective 18 weeks

      In this Term, students get an opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Indian supply chain domain.

      Students will have core courses like Logistics, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Global Supply Chain Management and Advanced Analytics. They will also be offered a set of electives to choose from which would enhance their SCM expertise.

      In Term 2, students will also work on a live SCM Project with industry. This will enable them to effectively apply the classroom learnings in a practical setting.
    • Term 3
      Advanced Business and GSCM Understanding at IIM Udaipur 11 weeks

      Capstone Simulation, they choose from a number of electives that strengthen the specialization in GSCM.

      The live SCM project that had commenced in Term 2 will culminate in Term 3.

    + Mandatory Courses

    In the world of connectivity and speed, the core management course with specialization in global supply chain management would enable students to understand the logistics, production and processes involved in the business. IIM Udaipurs one year supply chain MBA program is one of the prestigious one year MBA programs in the country.

    Term 1 of the one year MBA program focuses on management fundamentals. This Term consists of mandatory courses covering the key tools, concepts and analytical skills used in all major functional areas with a focus on supply chain management.     + Elective Courses

    • Term 2
      Students are required to select two electives from a list of more than 30 courses that are offered. The selected electives are normally granted to the students unless there are scheduling constraints that cannot be resolved. Courses offered in this term are as follows:

      • Elective Courses
    • Term 3
      In Term 3, the students are required to select electives from the courses offered to the two year MBA students as well as the students of the one year MBA in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM).

    + Eligibility Criteria

    • Minimum of 10+2 years of school education and 3 years of university education with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline.
    • Valid GMAT score, or valid GRE score, or CAT scores of tests taken in 2018 or later.
    • Full-time work experience of minimum 36 months as of March 31, 2021.

    + Admission Process

    The admission process is completed in the following steps:
    • Interested candidates fill in the online application form.
    • Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of the eligibility criteria and called for the second round where they are screened through a personal interview.
    • An offer of admission is made on the basis of the candidate's demographic profile, academic profile, work experience, score in GMAT/GRE/CAT and personal interview.
    Any dispute concerning admissions in the MBA in GSCM Batch 2021-22 would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Udaipur.

    Note: Until the 2019-20 academic year, IIM Udaipur, in partnership with Purdue University, offered a dual degree in Global Supply Chain Management. Given the implications of COVID-19, IIMU is not sure whether the dual degree option will be available to the students in the academic year 2021-22. At this point, the Institute is only offering One Year MBA - GSCM at IIM Udaipur. However, IIMU will be able to decide on the dual degree program after a joint review with Purdue University in January or February 2021. If the dual degree option is offered at that time, those candidates who have already been admitted in the One Year MBA - GSCM at IIMU and fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission at Purdue University, may then undergo the selection process of Purdue University.     International Applicants of Non-Indian Origin
    Taking into account the time duration required to apply for a visa for non-Indian origin applicants, IIMU follows a rolling evaluation process for them. Irrespective of the admission cycles, their application would be evaluated within six weeks from the date of their application

    Note:
    • In addition to the above, an Alumni Association Fee of Rs. 3,000/- will be payable at the time of registration for Term 3.
    • Living expenses shall cover payment to IIM Udaipur towards food and hostel room charges. These living expenses do not cover any other personal expenses that the candidates may incur while living at the IIMU campus.
    • Goods and Services Tax (GST) is not applicable to the program.
    Loans
    Many of the major banks in India provide loans to cover most of the tuition fees and program expenses at IIMs. Details concerning rates of interest and other loan conditions should be confirmed directly with the banks.
