Information Brochure of One-year Diploma Course on Tourism & Travel 2019-2020 [for men only]
Duration of the Programme:
The programme is for one year. There shall be 120 hours classroom study approximately along with four/five-day field study and 10-15 days internship.
Course Fee:
Students have to pay total course fee of Rs 20,000/- (Rupees twenty
thousand only) during the time of admission. The mode of payment will be either cash or cheque or demand draft payable at UBI, Belur Math. The cheque or demand draft will be in favour of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira.
Note:
Placement assistance will be given to the eligible candidates
Class Schedule:
Theoretical class schedule will be as follows: Every Saturday from 03.30 pm to 06.30 pm.
Eligibility:
Only male candidates who have passed higher secondary or equivalent
examination can join
Admission:
Total seat: 60
Students will be admitted first come first serve basis.
After downloading admission form candidates will fill up the hard copy and submit it with needed document on working days from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm along with the course fee.
Programme Structure:
There will be total 10 Courses, and each Course will be divided into five/six modules. The candidates will be taught total ten courses—nine theoretical and one practical. Each course will carry 50 marks.

Note:
Curriculum development is a continuous process. Course structures
may be changed (even during the course) for the larger interest of industry, students and profession.
Attendance:
Students are expected to put in as much attendance as possible as it is an
integral part of learning. Joining the Field Study and Internship and a minimal attendance of 75% in theoretical classes are mandatory. There will be no
supplementary arrangement of above-said Field Study and Internship, and examinations.
Examination:
Examinations of theory papers will be held in the last week of May or first week of June, 2020. Final schedule will be declared later. Students have to appear for examinations of two courses together per day, and they will get
total four hours for two courses. Student will write the answer preferably in English, or, if not possible, in Bengali. Questions will be set in English only.
Certificates will be distributed after one month of the examination ends.
Eligibility to get Certificate:
Students have to appear all examinations and score minimum 40% of the aggregate.
