Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A. /B .Sc. (Honours) and B.Sc. General Courses of Studies provided she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
  • No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Explanation: The year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying Examination.
  • CBCS regulations shall be applicable to:
    • The students who are taking admission to the B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus. (Honours/General) Course from the academic session 2019-2020.
    • The students who were admitted in earlier sessions but did not enroll for B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus.(Honours /General) Part I (1+1+1 systems) Examinations up to 2019 and 2020.
    • The students who were admitted in earlier sessions and enrolled for B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus.(Honours/General) Part I Examinations but did not appear in Part I (1+1+1 systems) Examinations up to 2019 and 2020.
    • The students who were admitted in earlier sessions and appeared in B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Mus. (Honours / General) Part-I (1+1+1 systems) Examinations in 2019 or 2020 or earlier shall continue to be guided by the existing Regulations of Annual System.
No. Stream Hons. Subject Criteria
1 BA HONS BENGALI (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in Bengali/Bengali A/Bengali B) or 40% marks in subject or related subject.( subject / related subject: Bengali/Bengali A/Bengali B)
2 BA HONS ENGLISH (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in English/English A/English B) or 40% marks in subject or related subject. ( subject / related subject: English/English A/English B)
3 BA HONS PHILOSOPHY (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/ related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate and (30% marks in subject or related subject) or 40% marks in subject or related subject. ( subject / related subject:Philosophy/ Psychology/ Mathematics/ Education/ Sociology/ Political Science)
4 BA HONS POLITICAL SCIENCE (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject OR 50% marks in aggregate for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate or 40% marks in subject or related subject. (subject / related subject: No subject bar).
5 BA HONS SANSKRIT (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject OR 50% marks in aggregate for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate or 40% marks in subject or related subject.( subject / related subject: Sanskrit)
6 BSC HONS BOTANY (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum (40% in aggregate of and 30% marks in Botany/Biology/Bio-Technology ) OR 40% marks in subject or related subject. (subject or related subject:Botany/Biology/Bio-Technology)
7 BSC HONS COMPUTER SCIENCE (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject OR 50% marks in aggregate for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate or 40% marks in subject or related subject. For all candidates:Must score passing marks in Mathematics. (subject / related subject:Mathematics/Computer Science/Physics/Statistics)
8 BSC HONS ECONOMICS (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject OR 50% marks in aggregate for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate or 40% marks in subject or related subject. (For all candidates:Must score 30% marks in Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Business Economics Including Business Mathematics)
9 BSC HONS FOOD AND NUTRITION (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in Food & Nutrition/ Biology) or 40% marks in subject or related subject. (For all candidates:Must score 30% marks in Chemistry) ( subject / related subject: Food & Nutrition/ Biology)
10 BSC HONS GEOGRAPHY (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in Geography OR (50% marks in aggregate and Pass marks in Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics) for General. IF candidate belonging to the to reserve category taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate or 40% marks in Geography or OR (40% marks in aggregate and Pass marks in Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics.). ( subject / related subject: Geography)
11 BSC HONS GEOLOGY (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of 40% in aggregate and pass marks in subject/related subject. Passed in Chemistry.(subject / related subject: Geology/Geography/Physics)
12 BSC HONS MATHEMATICS (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in Mathematics) or 40% marks in subject or related subject. ( subject / related subject: Mathematics)
13 BSC HONS PHYSICS (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in Physics) or 40% marks in subject or related subject. 15 BSC HONS STATISTICS (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in subject/related subject) or 40% marks in subject or related subject. ( subject / related subject:Mathematics/Statistics)
16 BSC HONS ZOOLOGY (H) Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subject/related subject OR 55% marks in subject/related subject for GEN. IF candidate belonging to the to SC/ST/OBC taking up Hons. course, must have obtained a minimum of (40% in aggregate and 30% marks in Zoology/ Biology/ Bio-Technology) or 40% marks in subject or related subject.
