Eligibility Criteria

  • Masters degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent with at least 55% marks in aggregate or as per CU Ph.D. regulation 2016.
  • First class in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/technology and Master’s degree in Science with at least 55% marks in aggregate. However they have to appear and qualify in an Entrance test and have to go through other formalities as per Ph.D. regulation 2016.

Entrance Test

(Applicable to candidates as mentioned in C.U. Ph.D. rule 2016)
  • The Ph.D. entrance test will be of Multiple Choice Question type and Short answer question type. The examination will be of 1 (one) hour duration.
  • The questions of the Entrance Test will, in general, cover topics of Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems, Measurement/ Instrumentation, basics of Physics, Electronics, Communication Systems and Computer Science.
  • The successful candidates will have to appear for an interview for final selection.
  • Declaration of names of selected candidates to be notified later through Departmental Notice Board (Subject to approval of the Honorable Vice Chancellor).
  • Qualifying marks for entrance test will be 50%.
  • No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidate for appearing the Entrance Test or called for the Interview.
