    + Eligibility Criteria

    • Only regular Hons graduates/ regular graduates qualifying in a Major subject are eligible for applying for a PG programme at Hindi University.
    • Candidates graduating in the Distance Mode are not eligible for application.
    • For Hindi and Anuvad Sahitya PG Programme an applicant must be a graduate with Hindi as a Major subject or a graduate with Honours in Hindi from any UGC recognized College/University.
    • For Anuvad Sahitya a candidate graduating with Hons in any language Subject like English and Bengali may also apply, provided (s)he has studied Hindi as Elective/GE at the UG level and also passed in the same.
    • For PG Programme in History, an applicant must be a graduate with History as a Major subject or a graduate with Honours in History from any UGC recognized College/University.
    • For PG Programme in Political Science, an applicant must be a graduate with Political Science as a Major subject or a graduate with Honours in Political Science from any UGC recognized College/University.
    • For candidates belonging to SC and ST categories there will be, as mandated by the Government, a 10% relaxation in cut-off percentage, provided the candidate has obtained the minimum qualifying marks in the Honours subject).
    • For getting the benefit of PWD reservation, the disability degree of a candidate must be 40% and above as per certificate issued by the competent authority of a Govt. Hospital.

    + General Guidelines

    • Admission to Post Graduate (PG) courses in Hindi, Translation Studies (Anuvad Sahitya), History, Political Science for the Academic Session - 2022- 23 will start from 1 September, 2022.
    • The Portal will remain open for Online application from 01.09.2022 to 15.09.2022.
    • Merit List will be published on 20.09.2022 and Admission will close on 21.10.2022.
    • Merit List will be prepared on the basis of Marks scored in Hons/ Major Course at the Graduation Level.
    • While making calculation of Hons Marks, consider the marks only of CC & DSE (Core Courses and Discipline Specific Elective). Marks of GE, AECC and SEC in the Choice Based Credit System and Combination Subject in the Old System are to be excluded from calculation of Hons Marks.
    • After submission of Application Form, a printout is to be taken for future use.
    • Candidate getting chance for admission as per Merit List position will have to accept the chance online within the stipulated time and also confirm the admission by making online payment of requisite fees.
    • If a candidate fails to deposit the fees within the stipulated time, his/ her chance for admission will be lost.
    • Any prayer for giving fresh Chance is subject to availability of seats and question of justice other applicants are entitled to. The authority may consider such prayers if the grounds for chance-missing are satisfying enough.
    • Application for admission is to be filled through the University website: www.hindiuniv.org.in.
    • Applicants are to click on the red coloured "PG Online Admission" link for getting into the Application Procedure.
    • A field with a red asterisk/star mark is mandatory (User cannot proceed for submission of form without entering valid data in it).
    • While filling in the application form online, applicant is required to upload all the required documents.
    • Applicants must have own email id and mobile no. required for validation and all types of future correspondence.
    • Admission will be strictly in the online mode and 
      Physical Presence of any candidate will not be entertained before or during the admission process.
    • The verification of Original Certificates will be done in due course at the time of commencement of classes.
    • All Admission is provisional and may be cancelled at a later stage if any discrepancy/ factual error/ violation of basic eligibility criteria is detected at a later stage.
    • Reservations of seats for SC (22%)/ ST (6%)/ OBC A (10%)/ OBC B (7%), shall be applicable as per Government rules, directives and constitutional provisions.
    • 3% seats of every subject is reserved for PWD candidates (covering all categories – SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC- B/ Unreserved) as per given Government provision.
    • EWS reservation will be given effect only after the General Guideline is made available to the University by the HE Department, Government of West Bengal.

    • Age proof certificate (Birth Certificate / Admit Card / Certificate of Xth Standard Public Examination (PDF).
    • Caste Certificate, if applicable, issued by competent authority (PDF).
    • Certificate of Disability, if applicable, showing that the disability degree is 40% or above (PDF).
    • Aaadhaar, Passport Size Photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) & Signature. All must be in jpeg/jpg format, size limited to 100 KB.
