Comparative Literature |
Category-I A minimum three-year Bachelors degree* with Honours/Major in Comparative Literature with at least 40% marks, or, a three-year Bachelors degree* with Honours/Major in any literature subject with at least 55% marks (49.50% for PD/Sports/OBC-A/OBC-B category and 41.25% for SC/ST category) in Honours/Major papers. Comparative Literature |
Since there are no undergraduate Honours courses in Comparative Literature in India outside Jadavpur University, and the discipline is interdisciplinary in nature, students from any discipline are eligible to apply for admission to the MA course.
Therefore, students will be selected on the following basis: 50% weightage on the aggregate percentage in their honours graduation course, and 50% weightage on the marks acquired in an online Group Discussion to evaluate their aptitude. (This procedure is only for this year’s pandemic situation, and should not be considered a precedent.) Important Note: A candidate selected for the online Group Discussion who may not be in a position to join online for reasons like lack of internet connectivity, or other logistical issues, may contact sujitk.mandal@jadavpuruniversity.in or samantak.das@jadavpuruniversity.in to request alternative arrangements for his/her scheduled Group Discussion. The request for an alternative arrangement should be made at least one day before her/his Group Discussion. |
