Applications are invited through this portal for admission to the post-graduate degree programmes (ME/MTech/MPharm/MArch/MMD) in Jadavpur University offered by 15 Departments under Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) and 10 Interdisciplinary Schools under Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Law and Management (FISLM) for the session 2020-21. Eligible candidates are allowed to register for only one application, in which (s)he may apply for maximum eight courses. The candidates are requested to go through the admission brochure before carefully before filling up the application form.

The entire Admission process will be carried out fully in online mode. No physical presence of the candidate or any related person will be required at University during the process of admission.

Jadavpur University reserves the right of cancelling an application for providing any wrong information in the Application Form or during any time of the Admission process. In case of more than one application from same candidate, University reserves the right to cancel all applications submitted by the same candidate.

University may change the schedule under unavoidable circumstances and in that case, revised schedule will be notified online.

+ Mandatory Documents

Documents needed for filling up of the form (Refer Clause 6.8) Properly Legible Scanned copies of the following documents are to be uploaded along with the application. In case any such is of multiple pages the same should be scanned as a single pdf. Illegible supporting document may lead to cancellation of the candidature without any further communication. All scanned documents [excluding the mark sheets of qualifying degree examination (8 or 9.1) and all previous experience certificates (11.3)] should be restricted to a size of 512 kB.

Mandatory Documents:
• Certificate or admit card of secondary or equivalent examination as proof of Date of Birth.
• Valid SC / ST / OBC(A) / OBC (B) Certificate issued by the Government of West Bengal. OBC certificate must conform to Non Creamy Layer Criteria.
• Valid PwD (Person with Disability) Certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.
• Mark sheet of Secondary or equivalent Examination.
• Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination, if applicable.
• Final mark sheet of Diploma in Engineering Examination, if applicable.
• Final mark sheet of B.Sc. Examination, if applicable.
• In case Final result of the qualifying degree examination is available, mark sheets of all semesters / annual examinations of the Qualifying Degree Examination.
• In case Final result of the qualifying degree examination due,
  • Mark sheets of all semesters / annual examinations of the Qualifying Degree Examination up to the pre-final year level.
  • A certificate from the Head of the Institution / Controller of Examinations of the University stating that the candidate has appeared in the final examination in 2020 and his/her result of the final (and pre-final semester, if applicable) examination is yet to be published.
• Valid GATE / GPAT score card for candidates having valid GATE score.
• For Category B candidates
  • Employment Certificate from the present employer, mentioning designation, date of joining and present salary, along with the latest Form-16 issued by the present employer (In case Form 16 Is not provided, TAN document of the present employer) scanned as a single pdf document.
  • A No Objection cum Sponsorship Certificate, in the format given in Annexure, from the present employer.
  • All previous experience certificate(s) or joining and release letter(s) clearly indicating the date of joining and leaving to the organisation(s) scanned chronologically in a single pdf document.
• For applicants to the 6-semester evening programme of "Water resources & Hydraulic Engineering"
  • Employment Certificate from the present employer, mentioning designation, date of joining and present salary, along with the latest Form-16 issued by the present employer (In case Form 16 Is not provided, TAN document of the present employer) scanned as a single pdf document.
• Signature of the Candidate.
• Photograph of the Candidate.
The selected candidates for admission need to upload that the following Additional Desirable Documents at the time of admission:
• Certificate of Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination, if applicable.
• Certificate of Diploma in Engineering Examination, if applicable.
• Certificate of B.Sc. Examination, if applicable.
• Certificate of the Qualifying Degree Examination.
• Family income certificate issued by the competent authority.
In case any of these documents are not available, a declaration is to be provided.
