    + Eligibility Criteria

    • The eligibility criteria for admission to PG courses in (M.A.) different subjects are given below:

      2. Two Years (Four Semesters) M.A. in Bengali 50% & above marks in Honours in Bengali from any Recognized University
      • Seat Reservations for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PH candidates shall be applicable as per Government rules, directives and constitutional provisions.
      • For candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories there will be, as mandated by the Government, a relaxation of the minimum eligibility criteria (cut-off percentage) by 10%. (Provided the candidate should achieve the qualifying marks in their respective Honours subject).
    • Candidates who have graduated with required criteria in 2021 (previous year) and 2022 (current year) are eligible to apply for PG course in respective department.
    • Candidate should enter the marks obtained only in the HOUNORS / CORE COURSE (IN CASE OF CBCS) SUBJECT.
    • Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained at graduation and the eligibility criteria prescribed at point 1.
    • After Publication of merit list, the eligible candidates will have to deposit required admission fees online within applicable cut-off date. After successful payment, the candidate will be notified about the confirmation of his/her admission through Email/Download option at Website.
    • Sports Quota relaxation of 5% would available to Sports-person who has participated at State Level and above level competitions/events.

    + Fees Structure

    Online Student Admission Fee for Post Graduate admission is fixed at Rs. 5,600/- (for General category students) and Rs. 5,225/- (for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PH / BPL category students) for the Academic Session 2022-23. Relaxation of fees for the above reserved categories will be allowed subject to submission of proper certificate issued by the competent authority. (As per Govt. rules)

    N.B.: Admission Fee payment challan shall be retained by the students for submission of the same (original) at the time of collection of any refundable admissible Fee.

    Apart from the above, students shall have to pay fees for Review, Transcript, Migration etc. as and when required at University prescribed rate(s).

    + Instructions for Online Application

    • Before proceeding for filling in the Online Application Form, the applicant is required to have the following:
      • Personal Email ID of the applicant is required for validations and future correspondence. In case the candidate provides wrong/incorrect email ID then he/she will not be able to receive the updates.
      • Personal Mobile Number of the applicant is required for validations and future correspondence. In case the candidate provides wrong/incorrect mobile phone number, he/ she will not be able to receive the updates.
      • Clearly scanned latest Passport Size Photograph (3.5cms x 4.5cms) & Signature; all in jpeg/ jpg format, size limited to 100 KB each.
    • The candidate will click on the "Apply Online" link for the Application Procedure.
    Please note that, the request for correction in Form will be entertained once only. Such a Student applicant, who has successfully submitted online form, can apply for correction as being prescribed in the acknowledgment Form.
