MAKAUT In-House Spot Admission
Academic Session: 2022-2024

Spot admission for the session 2022-2023 for M.Tech., B.Sc., M.Sc., BBA, BCA, MBA programs of MAKAUT, WB (In-house) will be held on 20th & 21st September, 2022 at Haringhata Campus of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT, WB).

Interested eligible candidates are advised to report for admission on the above mentioned dates and venue between 11:00 A.M. to 02:00 P.M. Eligibility criteria and details of admission process are available in the University website: www.makautwb.ac.in

Documents to be produced at the time of spot admission:
  • Class X Marksheet.
  • Class XII Marksheet.
  • Graduation Marksheet of last semester (For PG students).
  • Valid Rank Card (state or national) for MBA candidates.
  • Age proof certificate.
  • Caste Certificate, if any.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • One passport size photograph.
  • Admission fees (cash/card etc.) as mentioned in website against the course.

    + Eligibility Criteria

    Name of the courses Eligibility
    M.Tech. in Microelectronics & VLSI Technology Eligibility for both courses:
    • The candidate has obtained Bachelor's degree in Engg. / Tech (B.E. / B.Tech.) in ECE, ECTE, EI, EE, CSE, or M.Sc. In Electronics / Physics (With special paper Electronics) or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.75 of a seven point grading system on a basis of 10.0 in the qualifying examination or its equivalent. In addition the candidate should have 50% marks in all examinations (45% for reserved candidates).
    • Candidates with valid GATE score will be given proportionate weightage of the GATE score.
    M.Tech. in Embedded Systems and VLSI Design
    M.Tech. in Bioinformatics M.Sc. and B.Tech. in any Biological discipline (Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Food Sc., Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Physiology, Medical Biotechnology, Agriculture, Food and Nutrition), M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, CSE, IT, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning), B.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engg., Electronics, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, MCA, B.Pharm.
    M.Tech. in Bio-technology B.Tech. / B.E. (Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Technology, Food Engineering / Technology or equivalent / B.Pharm. / M.Sc. (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Life Sciences, Bioengineering). With minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (under grading system) from a recognized University.
    M.Tech. in Renewable Energy B.Tech. / B.E. in any discipline of Engineering and Technology and M.Sc. in any branch of Science (Except Bio-Sciences).
    M.Tech. in Information Technology Eligibility for both courses:
    • Bachelor’s degree (minimum duration: 4 years) in Engineering / Technology / Equivalent from recognized institutions approved by AICTE / UGC / Government*
    • Master’s degree in Science / Technology / Equivalent from institutions approved by UGC / AICTE / Government*
    • Candidates yet to appear or have appeared in the final examination for the qualifying degree specified in [(a) or (b)] and whose results are likely to be declared on or before one months from the date of the advertisement.
    M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence
    M.Tech. in Data Science
    M.Tech. in Information Security
    M.Tech. in Internet of Things
    M.Tech. in Geo-Informatics B.E. / B.Tech. (Civil Engineering, CSE, IT, EE, Telecommunication Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering. Candidates with B.E. / B.Tech. / AMIE in Agricultural Engg. / Architecture & Planning are eligible to apply. M.Sc. or equivalent in Geology, Applied Geology / Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Mathematics / Physics / Environmental Science / Remote Sensing are also eligible to apply.
    M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Management An AICTE approved B.E. / B.Tech. degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology or equivalent.*

    *Equivalence means the candidate should be an Associate Member of a Professional Bodies of Engineers that are recognized by the Govt. of India for the purpose of admission to higher studies in Engineering.
    M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering Eligibility for both courses:
    • The candidate has obtained Bachelor's degree in Engg. / Tech. (B.E. / B.Tech.) in CSE, ECE, ECTE, IT, EI, EE or M.Sc. in CS / IT / Electronics / Physics or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.75 of a seven point grading system on a basis of 10.0 in the qualifying examination or its equivalent. In addition the candidate should have 50% marks in all examinations (45% for reserved candidates).

      For software Engineering: M.Sc. (Mathematics) and MCA candidates may also apply provided they have a science background, i.e., Science in HS level and passed B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics (compulsory) and Computer Science, Electronics or Chemistry.
    • Candidates with valid GATE score will be given proportionate weightage of the GATE score.
    M.Tech. in Software Engineering
    M.Tech. in Materials Science and Technology B.E. / B.Tech. in Ceramic, Polymer, Chemical, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Materials Engineering or Technology or equivalent or M.Sc. in Materials Science / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / or equivalent.
    MBA Eligibility for these courses:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Medical / Dental / Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities, and a valid Score / Rank Card of any State/National level MBA entrance exams, viz. CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA etc.
    MBA (Business Analytics)
    MBA (Hospital Administration)
    All types of M.Sc. Courses Passed with Honours Degree from any UGC recognised University.
    All types of B.Sc., BBA and BCA Courses For Bachelor's Degree Courses: 10+2 passed in General or Vocational Stream from any recognised Board with pass marks in each of the main subjects.
