CBSE Will Refund the Overcharged Amount for Class 12 Post-Result Applications | News

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official clarification regarding technical problems encountered during the post-result application process for the 2021–22 Class 12 examinations.

According to the notice issued on 24 May 2026, some students experienced incorrect fee deductions while applying for scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. Due to system-related errors, a few applicants were charged more than the prescribed amount, while others paid less than required.

CBSE stated that refunds for excess payments will be processed automatically through the same payment method used during the application process.

Refunds for Overcharged Students

Students who were charged above the official fee do not need to submit any separate request for reimbursement. The Board confirmed that the additional amount will be credited back automatically.

Cases of Lower Fee Deduction

In situations where the deducted fee was lower than the required amount, CBSE mentioned that concerned candidates may receive further communication. If necessary, students could be asked to complete the remaining payment later.

At present, no immediate action has been requested from affected students unless they receive a direct notification from the Board.
