GSEB to Conduct GUJCET 2026 on March 29; Exam Timings and Details Released | News


The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 will be conducted on March 29 in offline mode. Over 1.35 lakh candidates are expected to take part in the examination. Students should check their exam schedule and reporting details beforehand.

Conducting Authority

The exam will be organized by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) across multiple districts. It is required for students aiming to secure admission in engineering and pharmacy programs after completing Class 12 Science.

Participation Statistics

  • Total registered candidates: 1.35 lakh+
  • Gujarat Board students: ~1.15 lakh
  • CBSE Board students: 18,500+
  • Other boards: Remaining candidates

Exam Pattern

The exam will be OMR-based and held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in multiple sessions.

  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics
  • Questions per subject: 40
  • Marks per question: 1
  • Total marks per subject: 40
  • Duration per subject: 60 minutes

Session Timing

  • Morning: Physics & Chemistry (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
  • Afternoon: Biology followed by Mathematics
  • Exam concludes by 4:00 PM

Subject Groups

  • All students must appear for Physics and Chemistry
  • Group A: Mathematics only
  • Group B: Biology only
  • Group AB: All four subjects

Languages Available

The examination will be conducted in Gujarati, English, and Hindi.

Admission Process

After the results of GUJCET 2026 and Class 12 Science are declared, a merit list will be prepared. Admissions to engineering and pharmacy colleges in Gujarat will be based on this combined merit.
