The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is accepting applications for the fourth edition of its Executive Programme in Robotics. Designed as a five-month online course, the programme aims to equip learners with knowledge of intelligent robotic systems, automation technologies and practical engineering applications.
Conducted under IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Programme (CEP), the upcoming batch is scheduled to begin on January 30, 2027, and run until June 26, 2027.
Graduates with a minimum of 50 per cent marks are eligible to apply for the programme. The online sessions are planned for Saturdays and every alternate Sunday, between 10 am and 2:30 pm. This schedule is intended to accommodate participants who wish to continue their professional or academic commitments while pursuing the course.
The programme will introduce participants to the core concepts and technologies used in robotics and automation. Its academic coverage includes artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotic system design, sensor technologies, motion control and simulation.
Additional topics include embedded systems and programming tools used in developing robotic applications. Alongside classroom instruction, participants will undertake practical activities designed to connect engineering concepts with real-world applications. Building a working robot is also included as part of the learning experience.
The course places greater emphasis on hands-on learning than on theory, with practical work accounting for 60 per cent of the curriculum and theoretical instruction making up the remaining 40 per cent.
